After 6 weeks of DVD sales, True Blood: The Complete First Season is nearing 1.2 million DVDs sold. It's still the leading TV show DVD seller for 2009 and its week to week sales decline was still a modest 18% suggesting that it will remain a strong seller for quite some time.
Family Guy - Volume 7 was still the top TV show DVD seller for the week with 134,000 units sold and over 400,000 for its first two weeks.
USA ratings star Burn Notice - Season Two fell off the DVD sales list we see after only one week.
But Weeds - Season Four returned to the list in its fourth week (after being off for its third week) selling over 36,000 units.
Two other TV shows that began selling DVDs this week didn't appear on the top 30 list were: The Girls Next Door - Season Five, and Reba - The Complete Sixth Season.
Next week DVD sales begin for Entourage - The Complete Fifth Season, Parker Lewis Can't Lose - The Complete First Season, and Stargate Atlantis - The Complete Fifth Season.

Great to see True Blood doing so well. Definitely the best show of the Summer. Let’s hope it gets Emmy recognition.
I agree, Adam. TB is the one TV show I cannot miss. I expect it to stay on the bestseller (at least for revenue) list for the remainder of the year, permitting us to track its numbers from week to week.
And because 24 is in the top 50 DVDs for revenue, its numbers change as well. The change over the June 21st numbers are 23,569 units for the week.
Well, I think you can officially declare Family Guy as a bigger DVD hit than 24. Probably means a bigger core fanbase.
Well, this is just great news for HBO!
Godfather, not so, 24 is the #2 TV DVD of the year at this point.
Sort this list by revenue.
Kudos to True Blood! A great show!
Parker Lewis! Now there was an insane show. I never watch stuff like that, i.e., teenager shows, but back in the day they had Melanie Chartoff on as the principal of his school, and she was hot on her old comedy show Fridays, so I watched it. Also they had Mary Ellen Trainor as his mother, and for some reason I liked her.
The show was totally insane, with sight gags, weird special effects, utterly surreal events occurring in the kid’s life. It was brilliant and managed to go three seasons.
yaya I love True Blood sooo much, I got everyone I know Hooked on it, and plan to let any one borrow my DVD so They will watch tooo…Im sooo obcessed
Not sure what the deal is here but apparently there’s alot of die hard True Blood fans.
Whoa, The Numbers revised the DVD sales figures quite a bit down. (Rankings stay the same.)

There’s a new chart with five TV shows, with Entourage on top. TB is still charted, and with the new adjusted numbers across the board is approaching 1.1 million sales and passed $37 million.
