Takes First Place with Kids, Tweens on TV
NEW YORK–July 14, 2009–Nickelodeon’s –which quarter to date ranks as the number-one kids program on broadcast and basic cable with tweens 9-14, and is the number-one program with kids and the top kid-targeted program with total viewers (P2+) year to date–was basic cable’s top-ranked kids’ show for the week (7/6/09-7/12/09) with 5.2 million total viewers (+154% in delivery over last year).
The brand-new episode of “iTwins” (Saturday, July 11, 8 p.m. ET/PT) also swept the week across all key kid and tween demographics (kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14) on both broadcast and basic cable television, averaging an 8.5/1.8 million T9-14 (+193%), a 9.5/2.0 million K6-11 (+157%), and a 7.3/2.6 million K2-11 (+128%).
Starring Miranda Cosgrove and now nominated for four TEEN Choice Awards, Nickelodeon's ended 2Q09 as the number-one program on all of broadcast and cable with tweens 9-14 and kids 6-11, and was the number-one live action program among Kids 2-11. is also cable’s top kids’ program among total viewers (source: NMR, Live + 7 Day from 3/30/08; Live + Same Day from 6/14/09-6/28/09) for the year to date.
