Univision the #2 Network in the Country in Overall Prime Among All Adults 18-34 and Teens 12-17 for Two Consecutive Weeks

NPM Broadcast Prime Highlights Week of 07/13/09

§  For the second consecutive week, Univision was the #2 network in the country in overall prime among all Adults 18-34 (989,000) and Teens 12-17 (179,000) beating ABC, CBS, NBC, and CW.  Additionally, Univision ranked #4 among all Adults 18-49 (1.7 million), #1 among Kids 2-11 (407,000), and #5 among Households (1.9 million) and Persons 2+ (3.2 million).

§  Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX every night last week among Adults 18-34 and Teens 12-17 and on 5 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49.

§  Univision had 6 of the Top 20 Programs among Adults 18-34, Teens 12-17 and 2 of the Top 20 Shows among Adults 18-49.

§  Thursday’s broadcast of the 6th annual “Premios Juventud” Youth Awards helped Univision rank #1 in overall prime for the night among all Adults 18-34 (1.4 million) and Persons 12-34 (1.7 million), beating ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CW.

§  “Premios Juventud 2009” Youth Awards was the #2 most-watched program for the night on television, regardless of language, among all Adults 18-34 (1.4 million) and Persons 12-34 (1.7 million).

§  Univision continued to capture the #1 network ranking on Friday night among all Adults 18-34 (1.0 million), all Adults 18-49 (1.8 Million), and Teens 12-17 (164,000), regardless of language.

§  On Friday night Univision had the Top 3 Programs among Adults 18-34 with #1 “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever), #2 “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love) and #3 a special presentation of “Premios Juventud Acceso Total”.

§  In its second week on air, “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love) helped Univision capture the #2 network ranking in the M-F 8-9pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and was #1 among Women 18-34 (679,000) and Teens 12-17 (267,000).

§  “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever) made Univision the #1 network in the M-F 9pm to 10pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.4 Million), Women 18-34 (809,000) and ranked #3 among Adults 18-49 (2.4 million), Women 18-49 (1.5 million) and Teens 12-17 (226,000).

§  Univision’s checker-board programming helped the network garner the #2 position in the M-F 10-11pm hour among Adults 18-34 (945,000) and Women 18-34 (551,000), out-delivering its closest competitor ABC by +30% and +18%, respectively.

§  “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #3 broadcast network on Saturday night among Adults 18-34 (440,000), Teens 12-17 (79,000) and ranked #2 among Kids 2-11 (179,000).

§  Sunday’s  CONCACAF Gold Cup: Mexico vs. Haiti game helped Univision obtain the #1 network ranking in the 7pm to 9pm time period among Adults 18-34 (1.2 million), Adults 18-49 (2.0 million), Men 18-34 (817,000) and Men 18-49 (1.3 Million).
