Is that because of Gays too ?
True blood is making a killing……….. also i smell a third season lol
True Blood !!! Yes!!!
And Vampires at CW this fall too ! Yes!!
Vampires are In !!!
Everybody knows that.
almost forgot about the Vamps on CW count me in!
Vampire Diaries seem a little too Twilight, and not enough True Blood for me.
Any update on In Treatment and Flight of the Conchords getting a third season? I’ll take anything HBO, but un-True Blood, related.
You have something against True Blood
I love True Blood. One of HBO’s best shows in years. How would you improve True Blood?
vampire shows have been in fashion for a while with Blood Ties ,Moonlight,True Blood ,Twilight and upcoming Vampire Diaries (which doesnt look so good)
“Vampires are In !!!”
this saddens me.
That any one topic can become a fad like this is retarded.
Eric, I agree and disagree. I agree that these vampire shows and movies need to stop, but I’m kind of glad that porn thing took off when it did, so I’m a mixed bag on the issue.
Vampires are always “in”, it is just that they are a bit more zeigeisty than usual as of late. However, now that the grey lady is writing about it, I think that we can safely mark the beginning of the end of this particularly faddish period in the genre.
Kevin,
I think I read where Brett and Jermaine didn’t want to do any more seasons because it was too difficult to come up with material. I think HBO is still undecided with In Treatment. I don’t think it will come back because they have greenlit several new shows for next year.
Doesn’t In Treatment also have trouble with luring Gabriel Byrne and assorted Showrunners due to the grueling two days per episode shooting schedule? I think I’ve read somewhere that the previous two showrunners had significant collapses in health after completing production.
One can only assume filming for that show is brutal, but maybe they’d consider doing a shorter season with only 3 patients? That’ll bring the episode order to 21 which is much more reasonable, even though it’ll still be significantly longer than every other HBO show.
As for Flight of the Conchords it was obvious by the dumb songs that they are out of ideas, and with the way the season finale ended it looks like the show is over, but the surprising Emmy nominations (especially Jemaine’s) could be enough to bring the show back.
Downloaded and watched all the episode of Moonlight last week. I liked that show, mostly due to Sophia Myles, of course, who is both adorable and hot. In fact, I think she’s hotter than Anna Paquin, which is pretty good for a vicar’s daughter. The segment where she was high on vampire blood was the best of the show. I also liked the rich playboy vampire, he was always cool. Shannyn Sossaman as Coraline was cool, too.
