If Dollhouse’s ratings are less awesome than usual on that night, I reserve the right to blame it on Caprica’s premiere!

Dollhouse returns in 63 days! Watch it or else!

  2. Less than awesome? Impossible!

I wonder if the fact that Syfy will have to edit out the racier bits of the pilot for broadcast will affect viewership numbers?

  4. Budo

The pilot did indeed have some serious boobage.

I was at the panel earlier today at Comic Con for both Caprica and Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, and Ron Moore says the aired Caprica pilot will be edited so there’s no nudity, but might have a scene or two that wasn’t in the dvd.

The other big thing at the panel (which is in NO WAY official) was that Edward James Olmos said “I am saying right here right now, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan will not be the last you will see of Battlestar Galactica.” Hinting at more movies, which Ron Moore and David Eick agreed was extremely likely. He did describe the opening of the potential continuation of the series and it sounds awesome.

On the subject of Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, Edward James Olmos was speaking so highly of it, I couldn’t believe it. He used very strong words to describe how much every fan is going to be absolutely in love with the movie, and basically guaranteed fan satisfaction, which is a tall order for a show like this, but it sounds like The Plan delivers on it.

    Jeff:
I wish you couldve asked them how they can come out with a bluray box set of the “Galactica: the complete series” yet it doesnt include the webisodes.
I know they werent on tv but they did contain key plot points especially for Gaeta’s actions & it was crazy that they werent included in the box set.

  7. Jeff

Romo, I can’t speak for the blu ray, but I remember on one of the dvds that the webisodes were on a weird disk, like disk two or something like that, is it possible they were hidden somewhere on the blu ray? I don’t know why that would be and if it’s true, that’s really lame, but they definitely joked about how now that everyone in the room owns the dvds, everyone’s going to have to buy it all again on blu ray.

  8. I’d be interested in how the ratings for this new show will compare with BSG. After the bad taste in my mouth from BSG, I know I won’t bother watching this when it shows up.

  9. Lanie Grace

Hmmm Its a good thing the Cylons have a plan, because Ron Moore didn’t have one when he wrote that god awful finale to such a great series. We can only hope JEO is correct.

BTW I heard that the first episode of Caprica will be about The Emo Robot Princess and friend go to the mall for some massive shopping since her old shoes no longer fit! Sounds exciting, I can’t wait…..

    and finally JBF Don’t worry

Dollhouse will add Caprica to it’s list of kills :)

I’ll watch it, I just hope it is good. I thought the pilot was kind of meh. I’d certainly help if Eric Stoltz is replaced. Something irritates the living **** out of me about him. I am not a fan.

Can’t wait! Loved every moment of Battlestar Galactica and the series finale was by far one of the best series finales i’ve seen ever. It tied up everything and was near perfection.

Cannot wait for more backstory with Caprica. I thought the pilot was very strong considering it was in fact…a pilot episode which usually tend to be not so great but this was was good…not great but good.

I absolutely love the actress playing Zoey. I believe that is her character name. Best scene by far was when they went back into that mind place to find her copy and she was soaked in blood and was talking about her other half missing. Very, very strong acting

  13. Bad Robot !

Look at it this way, if CAPRICA bombs, they can call it CRAPrica.

The finale of BSG didnt make alot of sense if you think about it too much. Why would they toss all their ships into the Sun. Maybe the Cylons on the Basestar might get bored and come back to Earth to KILL ALL HUMANS!!! And their skinjob traitor allies? After all they KNOW where Earth is.

Why not have a few hundred volunteer to take the remaining ships to the outer edges of the solar system to look out for hostiles? Cylon or otherwise. Plus Im sure many of the humans would have a problem giving up their technology to live like savages. Perhaps they could have set up a base on an ice free Antartica and call it Atlantis keeping their technology in reserve just in case? Oh well, its over and done with, there is no rewrite in the offing.
