Josh, while my best days as a clairvoyant are long behind me, having never seen the show, here is what I am sensing that NBC was thinking:

“Oh My God, did you see that? Absolutely no one is going to watch that, what the F$*&^! do we do with it?”
*We’ve only paid for two episodes”
“Let’s air the first one, but not tell anyone ahead of time and maybe no one will notice, and let’s put the second one on against some big competition that’s going to hammer whatever goes against it anyway so we don’t actually waste something people would want to watch.”
“Then, let’s blame it all on Silverman. He’s out of here anyway”

But that’s just a guess.

The Wanted is a very decent show, and they were already able to remove the red tape to get two terrorists extradited to face charges.

I have to wonder what NBC is thinking, they put up The Wanted, first when its not listed anywhere, nobody knew it was even on.

Next they schedule against the Bachelorette finale. I have to wonder what they are thinking. This show deserves more of a chance than this. If nothing else they should be able to sell it to Fox.

dude… lighten up on olbermann… he’s been on vacation and it’s not an election year. that post is so silly. if it makes sense then why don’t we just compare the attendance and ratings of a pre season nhl game with the stanley cup finals?

Thedemonhog, they both got 4.2 million viewers. That’s basically the same amount plus 9 is just a straight up stronger timeslot even with tougher comp, and house is on a bit of a rerun overexposure on cable but still this is great news for fox. It means season 2 should be stronger than season 1. Why doesn’t nbc repeat any of their shows to grab viewers for the fall. Its not like repeats of chuck could do much worse than the original programming tonight.

Actually, Bill,several new episodes of Kings got a .4 or lower in the demo but they were on Saturday nights.

I would just like to bring a point from previous discussions: It’s pretty clear that NBC would KILL to have a show like Burn Notice, Royal Pains, etc., that brings in 6+ million viewers. And that number would likely go up on broadcast, especially with a strong promotional push.

Dating in the dark will probably lose some viewers but it is a show that u get hooked on and a show that does not matter if u miss an episode

The Big Bang Theory has to be one of my favorite shows and it did better than two and a half men in the ratings and in some cases doing better in the summer than the fall

Did Gossip Girls go up from last week???????????

Not that large of a drop. Without The Bachelorette, I’m guessing Dating in the Dark will get a 1.6-1.8 demo. That demo would be good enough for another summer renewal I’m guessing. If ABC wanted to, they could bring both The Bachelorette and Dating in the Dark back next year. After all, Dating in the Dark is doing better than Here Come the Newlyweds.

ABC is repeating last nights Bachelorette tonight from 8-10 then at 10 the After the Final Rose. Superstars finale will be next Tuesday at 8. Also Better Off Ted’s final 2 season 1 episodes will be on back to back on Tuesday August 11th at 9 after Millionaire, which is actually not a bad idea. Hopefully Millionaire does good to help Better Off Ted.

Also I figured Dating in the Dark would do better because I knew the Bachelorette would do really good last night but it stayed exactly the same. Hope it can maintain good numbers since the Bachelorette is over.
