USA Moves Ahead Of Disney In Week's Primetime Cable Averages

Categories: '

As adult shows made a comeback for the week, USA Network managed to move ahead of last week's primetime leader Disney Channel, which slipped into the #2 spot, with Fox News Channel #3 and TNT just behind at #4.

Nickelodeon, as usual, took the #1 spot for Total Day cable viewers with an average of 2.268 million.

Note that we are currently in discussion with Nielsen Media about our use of their data. One element of that discussion is limiting our lists to 20 items. Sorry.

I don’t see any networks listed before the viewing figures.

  2. UKTVFan, I’m not sure what you mean. Can you not see the left columns headed “Network”?

  3. UKTVFan

Correct, I cannot see the “Network” column at all. All I see is “(000)s” with nothing below it in the first column (where “Network” and the list should be), and numbers in the second column.

I cleared cookies and still cannot see the “Network” column. It looks like that for me for last week’s list too, but the list from two weeks ago is fine.

  4. @UKTVFan, Hmmm, not sure what’s going on. Can anyone else not see the left most columns?

  5. UKTVFan

I’ll check this page on my home computer when I’m done work and see if everything looks OK.

I was curious this week to see if BBC America’s sci-fi week gave it a one-week bounce into the Top 20 primetime list.

  6. Number Cruncher

I can’t see the columns on the left. I wasn’t able to see them on last week’s list either.

  7. UKTVFan, I can tell you it didn’t. BBCA primetime avg. of 411,000 was #40 for the week.

  8. Interesting, I started using Firefox for my site work about 2 weeks ago. That may have introduced a problem, but I cannot reproduce the no left column effect in any Macintosh browser.

  9. OK, I reposted the lists using Safari. Do the left columns appear now?

  10. UKTVFan

    I’m using a PC. Perhaps it’s a quirky PC-only problem.

And thanks for the BBCA information! Can’t wait to see how the invidivual BBCA sci-fi shows did (I put in my request in the other thread).

  11. UKTVFan

Yes, I can see the “Network” column now!

  12. I’m glad it appeared, but that’s wacky. Let me know if any other tables on the site don’t appear properly. I may need to go back to using Safari even though Firefox has many advantages.

  13. Catherine

USA should continue up in August with the introduction of “Monk” and “Psych,” esp. with the end of “Monk” in sight.

  14. Catherine, it will be interesting to see their averages. I think that Burn Notice, Royal Pains, In Plain Sight and L&O:CI have only 2 episodes more before their current cycles are complete and they take a break.

  15. Kyle

So CN continues to be out of the top twenty in prime time, where did cartoon land?

  16. Robert

Did TOON stay in it’s #25 position or did it rise or drop any?

  17. TOON Primetime #22, 915,000 avg. viewers.
