Howard Kurtz has a story in The Washington Post on how the Obama administration has gone about securing broadcast prime-time airtime for the president. Having seen countless comments and articles on this topic in the last six months alone, it already feels like old and tired ground to me. It was still amusing to read the part where Rahm Emanuel tried to go straight to the top and bypass the TV executives but GE chief Jeff Immelt passed him back to Jeff Zucker.
Too much pressure from Obama administration to air the president in primetime?
