Driven by “Phineas and Ferb,” Sunday, August 9 Becomes Disney😄’s Most-Watched Sunday Ever in Total Viewers and Across All Target Kid Demos

Week of August 3-9, 2009

Growing its Total Day audience for the 4th consecutive week, this week ranked as Disney😄’s most-watched week ever (includes Toon Disney) in Boys 6-14 (103,000), and wrapped as its most-watched week in Kids 6-14 (170,000) as well.  In fact, in the previous 3 weeks, Disney😄 has delivered its 3 largest weekly audiences of all time in the key kid targets.

  • This week also qualified as Disney😄’s most-watched week on record in Total Day in Kids 6-11 (138,000) & Boys 6-11 (83,000), and third-most-watched week in Total Viewers (325,000).
  • Disney😄 posted huge increases over year-ago levels (week of 8/4/08) across the board, including by 68% in Kids 6-14 (170,000 vs. 101,000) and by 66% in Boys 6-14 (103,000 vs. 62,000), with delivery more than doubled in Tweens 9-14 (101,000 vs. 48,000).
  • Powered by “Phineas and Ferb,” Sunday, August 9 stood as Disney😄’s most-watched Sunday in Total Day in Total Viewers (496,000 – includes Toon Disney), and third most-watched day on record overall.
  • Sunday was also Disney😄’s most-watched Sunday since its Feb, 13, 2009 launch in Kids 6-14 (196,000), Boys 6-14 (104,000), Kids 6-11 (157,000), Boys 6-11 (85,000) and Tweens 9-14 (115,000).
