Cartoon Network’s prime time performance enjoyed a second week of delivery gains among all kids compared to the same time period four weeks ago.  Adult Swim also earned remarkable improvement with young adults, continuing its summer season lightning performance.

CARTOON NETWORK

  • Cartoon Network’s prime time ratings and delivery continued to improve across the board last week between 19% and 25% compared to the previous four weeks in late July and early August.  Average kids 6-11 prime time delivery (484,000) increased by 21%, kids 2-11 delivery (652,000) by 19% and kids 9-14 delivery (364,000) by 20%.  Across the week in total day performance, average kids 6-11 delivery (430,000) rose by 6%, kids 2-11 delivery (587,000) by 5% and kids 9-14 delivery (339,000) by 12%.
  • Cartoon Network’s newest live-action original series on Wednesday night—BrainRush (8 p.m.) and Destroy Build Destroy (8:30 p.m.)—both earned significant ratings and delivery gains compared to the same time periods last year.  BrainRush saw kids 6-11 delivery (284,000) jump ahead by 63%, kids 2-11 delivery (332,000) by 15% and kids 9-14 delivery (416,000) by a whopping 155%.  Similarly, Destroy Build Destroy increased kids 6-11 delivery (528,000) by 45%, kids 2-11 delivery (644,000) by 14% and kids 9-14 delivery (457,000) by 84%.

Sunday night’s FLICKS presentation (7-9 p.m.) of Nacho Libre captured 18% delivery gains among kids 6-11 (411,000), 14% gains among kids 2-11 (585,000) and 11% gains among kids 9-14 (242,000).  And a Total Drama Action and Total Drama Island Sunday marathon from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. averaged 17% delivery increases among kids 6-11 (531,000) and 27% delivery increases among kids 9-14 (391,000).

ADULT SWIM

  • Adult Swim continued its young adults ratings and delivery surge with yet another week of significant growth across its targeted demos—adults 18-34 (464,000) up 31%, adults 18-24 (231,000) up 20%, men 18-34 (281,000) up 12% and men 18-24 (141,000) up 1%.  The outstanding performance led Adult Swim to rank #1 among all ad-supported cable networks for total day delivery of adults 18-34, 18-24 and men 18-34, 18-24.
  • Adult Swim telecasts also accounted for 19 of the top 50 telecasts of the week on ad-supported cable among adults 18-34, more than any other network.  Five Adult Swim telecasts ranked among the top 10 telecasts of the week.
