Tuesday Broadcast Delivers "Big Brother's" Largest Audience and Highest Ratings in All Key Demos on Any Night This Summer
"Big Brother" Delivers Its Largest Audience Since 2008; Highest Adult 18-49 Rating Since the 8th Edition Finale in 2007
In Its 11th Edition (10th Season), Series Audience Is Up 5% Over Last Summer
BIG BROTHER 11 continues to hit new summer highs as last night's broadcast, which addressed the removal of Chima Simone for violating "Big Brother" rules, attracted the largest audience and highest ratings among all key demographics on any night, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Tuesday, Aug. 18.
BIG BROTHER 11 TUESDAY (4.8/08, 8.08m) was tied for first with NBC in both adults 18-49 (2.9/08) and adults 18-34 (2.3/07) and was second in adults 25-54 (3.3/09). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 11 TUESDAY was up +12% in households (from 4.3/07), +14% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/08), +16% in adults 18-49 (from 2.5/07), +15% in adults 18-34 (from 2.0/07) and added +1.30m viewers (from 6.78m, +19%).
This is BIG BROTHER's largest audience since BIG BROTHER 9 on Sunday 4/13/08 and highest rated with adults 18-49 since the season finale of BIG BROTHER 8 on Tuesday 9/18/07. It was the largest adult 18-34 rating since BIG BROTHER 9 on Sunday 3/30/08 and with adults 25-54 since BIG BROTHER 10 on Thursday 9/11/08.
Compared to last summer's edition, BIG BROTHER 11 is up +5% in viewers (6.86m from. 6.52m), +6% in adults 18-34 (1.9 from. 1.8) and even in adults 18-49 (2.4).
Diva Drama is and always has been good for TV and Chima provided plenty of that but “Jessie’s Girls” are more then making up for it Drama in the house can easily happen the game changes from hour to hour miss thang so what will they do without answer: Keep Rockin w/ more Big Brother that’s what ~kisses Chimakus Bye Bye now!
You got these ratings only because we wanted to see how CBS would explain her demise; not because she is so famous! I never even know who she was , and STILL don’t, until BB 11.

I sat there and listened to Chima tell her story about fighting off the rapist / killer and thought to myself “WoW, what a strong woman!”. I also thought it was good she was on the show as a role model to people that have been in her situation and that it was possible to become stronger after adversity. Then she had to open that mouth of hers. I think Chima is a disgusting, racist with a sense of entitlement that almost makes you laugh. She whine about Jeff using the CDT and how it was unfair. However, she signed up for a game that is known for the slogan “Expect the Unexpected”. America was allowed to select who they thought “deserved” the power and America used it’s democratic powers and selected Jeff. Then she attacks Jeff for using the power that AMERICA gave to him to advance HIMSELF in a GAME that HE was PLAYING in order to WIM $500,000. So, what Chima he didn’t do what you thought he should do and he used the power that he earned by earning the respect of Amercian viewers ( by being a decent person with a kind heart and treated other people with respect) to advance HIMSELF in a GAME that HE was playing. GET OVER YOURSELF, STOP TWITTERING ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT DON’T LIKE YOU BEING FAT AND UGLY OR BOTH, AND GET THE HELP YOU NEED BEFORE YOU CONTINUE MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF!

Was it fair to everyone else in the house that he got to be the first HOH without having “WON” it? Chima, Boogie had it and earned it, and keep in mind, was HOH. He didn’t use it because he didn’t need to. Jeff earned it too.
