Home to TV’s Top 3 telecasts with “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie,” “Princess Protection Program” and “Wizards On Deck with Hannah Montana,” and the Top 6 TV series as well, Disney Channel ranked as Summer’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 3rd consecutive Summer in Tweens 9-14, and also ranked No. 1 in Kids 6-11.

  • In Total Day, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Kids 6-11 (790,000/3.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (675,000/2.8 rating).
  • Disney Channel stood as cable’s second-most-watched cable network in Summer 09 in Total Viewers (2.0 million), topping USA (1.6 million) by a considerable 25%.
  • In Prime, Disney Channel ranked as cable’s No. 1 network in Kids 6-11 (1.2 million/5.1 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.0 million/4.2 rating).
  • The premiere of original movie Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” stood as cable’s most-watched telecast in Total Viewers (11.4 million), marking the 3rd straight summer Disney Channel has delivered the top telecast in the frame (2008: “Camp Rock”; 2007: “High School Musical 2”).
  • In Kids 6-11, with the premiere DCOMs “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” (4.5 million/18.4 rating) and crossover event “Wizards On Deck with Hannah Montana(3.8 million/15.5 rating), Disney Channel delivered TV’s Top 2 telecasts this summer.

  • In Tweens 9-14, with the premieres DCOMs “Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie” (4.0 million/16.6 rating), crossover event “Wizards On Deck with Hannah Montana(3.7 million/15.2 rating) and “Princess Protection Program” (6.2 million/12.9 rating), Disney Channel delivered TV’s Top 3 telecasts this summer.
  • In Kids 6-11, Disney Channel delivered TV’s Top 6 series with “Wizards of Waverly Place” (1.8 million/7.2 rating), “The Suite Life on Deck” (1.7 million/6.7 rating), “Phineas and Ferb” (1.5 million/6.3 rating), “Sonny with a Chance(1.5 million/6.1 rating), “Hannah Montana” (1.5 million/6.0 rating) and “JONAS” (1.5 million/6.0 rating).
  • In Tweens 9-14, Disney Channel delivered TV’s Top 6 series with “Wizards of Waverly Place” (1.7 million/6.8 rating), “The Suite Life on Deck” (1.4 million/5.9 rating), “Hannah Montana” (1.4 million/5.8 rating), “Sonny with a Chance(1.4 million/5.5 rating), “JONAS” (1.3 million/5.3 rating) and “Phineas and Ferb” (1.2 million/4.9 rating).
  • Playhouse Disney series accounted for 3 of TV’s Top 6 series in Kids 2-5 with “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” (No. 3 – 622,000/3.8 rating), “Handy Manny” (No. 5 – 557,000/3.4 rating) and newcomer “Imagination Movers” (No. 6 – 549,000/3.4 rating), and 4 of the Top 10 with also-newcomer “Special Agent Oso” (No. 10 – 498,000/3.1 rating).
  • Disney Channel closed out Summer 09 with the net’s 231st consecutive weekly win versus all cable in Prime in Kids 6-11 (1.5 million/6.3 rating), with the win-streak at 227 weeks in Tweens 9-14 (1.4 million/5.6 rating).
