NPM Broadcast Prime Highlights Week of 08/24/09

§  Univision was the #2 network in the country for the entire week in overall prime among all Adults 18-34 (953,000) for the eighth consecutive week, beating ABC, CBS, and CW (tied with NBC). Additionally, Univision ranked #4 among all Adults 18-49 (1.7 million) for the fourth consecutive week, beating ABC and CW and #2 among Teens 12-17 (170,000) for the third consecutive week, beating ABC, CBS, NBC and CW

§  Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX on 6 out of 7 nights last week among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Teens 12-17

§  For the entire week, Univision aired 9 out of the Top 30 primetime programs among Adults 18-34 and 5 out of the Top 30 primetime programs among Adults 18-49, regardless of language

§  Univision had the Top 2 shows on Monday night with #1 “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever) and #2  “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love) and helped the network rank #1 for the entire nightamong all Adults 18-34

§  On 3 out of 5 weekday nights last week, Univision’s  “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever) was the most-watched primetime program on broadcast network TV, making it the #1 network on 2 out of these 3 respective nights (Monday and Wednesday) among Adults 18-34

§  Friday Night, Univision was the #2 network among Adults 18-49 (1.9 million) and Adults 18-34 (1.1 million)thanks to its programming line-up of “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love), “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever), and La Rosa De Guadalupe (The Rose of Guadalupe)

§  “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love) helped Univision capture the #2 network ranking in the M-F 8pm to 9pm hour among all Adults 18-34 (1.1 million), out-delivering ABC, CBS, NBC and CW and #3 among Adults 18-49 (1.8 million), out-delivering ABC, NBC and CW

§  “Mañana Es Para Siempre” (Tomorrow is Forever) made Univision the #1 network in the M-F 9pm to 10pm time period among Adults 18-34 (1.5 million) and #3 among Adults 18-49 (2.6 million), beating ABC, FOX and CW

§  For the entire night on Saturday, thanks to “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday), Univision was the #3 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (475,000), Teens 12-17 (103,000) and Kids 2-11 (168,000), beating ABC and NBC

§  Sunday night’s 2-hour premiere of “¡Viva El Sueño!” (Live the Dream!) attracted over 2 million Total Viewers 2+ and averaged significantly more viewers than the live airing of the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on the CW network across all key demographics including Adults 18-49 (1,073,000 vs. 827,000), Adults 18-34 (569,000 vs. 315,000), Men 18-49 (449,000 vs. 240,000), Women 18-49 (624,000 vs. 587,000) and Persons 12-34 (670,000 vs. 376,000)
