NFL Preseason, NASCAR Boosts ESPN On Top Week's Primetime Cable Viewership

An NFL Preseason game and a NASCAR race put ESPN on top the  average prime-time cable network viewership for the week of August 31-September 6. In second place was non-sports season leader USA and in third was Disney. Fox News and TNT were neck and neck for fourth and fifth.

In primetime adults 18-49 ESPN's lead was even more pronounced over second place USA.

Nickelodeon, as usual, took the #1 spot for Total Day cable viewers with Nick at Nite moving ahead of Disney to take #2 for the week.
