TNT and truTV ratings highlights for week ending September 6, 2009

TNT

With Live + 7 data now in for the week of Aug. 17, Leverage grew by an extraordinary 66% among adults 25-54, while The Closer grew by 50%, when comparing Live to Live + 7 viewing.  TNT’s other originals also showed solid growth in time-shifted viewing, with Dark Blue rising 41%, Raising the Bar 36%, Saving Grace 34% and HawthoRNe 32%.

  • Live + 7 data for the Aug. 18 season finale of HawthoRNe reveals the episode was watched by 4 million viewers, 3.2 million households and 1.9 million adults 25-54.
  • For its entire first season, HawthoRNe averaged 4 million viewers, 3.1 households and 1.8 million adults 25-54.  HawthoRNe was ad-supported cable’s #1 entertainment program on Tuesdays in those categories, as well as among women 25-54 (1.3 million)
  • The Aug. 18 summer finale of Saving Grace was watched by 3.8 million viewers, 2.9 million households and 1.8 million adults 25-54 in Live + 7 viewing.
  • For the summer, Saving Grace averaged 3.7 million viewers, 2.8 million households and 1.7 million adults 25-54 in Live + 7.  Saving Grace ranked as ad-supported cable’s #1 program in its time period in those categories and among women 25-54 (1.1 million).

truTV

Kicking off the month of September, truTV scored a hit with the season premiere of Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel and delivered big numbers for Operation Repo and Bait Car.

  • truTV scored a Top 10 primetime finish for the week among men 18-34 and yielded solid growth when compared to the same week last year among adults 18-34 (+21%), adults 18-49 (+12%), adults 25-54 (+10%), men 18-34 (+29%), men 18-49 (+25%) and men 25-54 (+23%).
  • Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel, truTV’s exciting behind-the-scenes series at the biggest pool party in Las Vegas, launched its second season Tuesday at 10 p.m. with a solid 1.3 million viewers, up 28% compared to the season one premiere.  The premiere ranked among in the Top Five in its time period on cable television among adults 18-34 (492,000) and adults 25-54 (812,000).

  • Operation Repo’s Monday, Aug. 31, 10 p.m. episode ranked as cable’s #1 entertainment show in its time period with men 18-49 (679,000) and men 25-54 (591,000).  In addition, it ranked as cable’s #2 entertainment program in its time period with adults 18-34 (744,000), adults 18-49 (1,234,000), adults 25-54 (1,065,000) and men 18-34 (403,000).
  • The Monday, Aug. 31, 8:30 p.m. episode of truTV’s Bait Car ranked among cable’s Top 5 entertainment programs in its time period among adults 18-34 (416,000), adults 18-49 (847,000), adults 25-54 (815,000), men 18-34 (176,000), men 18-49 (447,000) and men 25-54 (474,000).
