I wonder if/when Ruby & the Rockits will be renewed.

Nothing to be ashamed about liking this show, Julia. It is well done, the kids are good actors, the writing is to point. They are telling the story, and keeping it entertaining. A show doesn’t need to be filled with pretentious crap where the show runner is trying too hard to prove that he/she is clever, and failing miserably at it, to be worthy of praise.
Just because the half the critics need to prove that they are clever too, and praise the pretentious, there is really no need to be self-conscious about enjoying simple and to the point when it is well done. !0 things is very well done, and quite clever, without being pretentious.

Yeah. The Patrick guy isn’t as bad as the other two, but, wow, I cringe every time Cameron or Joey are on screen. That’s why I’m ashamed to admit liking this show. Also, the bitchy girl.
I agree with S. This show is the best new show this summer but no one will ever know it except the fans who watch it. It’s well-written with some very funny one-liners and insightful without being preachy. The actors who play the Stratfords (especially Kat) are terrific. Thanks, ABC Family!
Have to say though I don’t agree with those who want to make it a full hour. They would have to put too much filler into it and this is more like a dramedy without the laugh track.
Julia, I have issues with Cameron too but I must admit I LOVE Joey – and normally I cannot stand the cliched, bleached blond dumb jock. But the actor makes Joey so lovably dumbly sweet, I can’t help but root for him.
cue all the kyle XY fans to start whining…

But Julia, don’t you think that’s sort of part of his charm? I laughed my butt off in the season finale when he pretends to read a newspaper to talk to Bianca and then Chastity comes up to them and he gets so flustered he says (not exact quote) “The war in Azerbyjackistan is over!” (it’s all the in the way he said ‘Azerbyjackistan.’)

I’m glad you watched and enjoyed it, Tar. It really is a terrific show but like I said, a secret because ABC Family pretty much ignored it instead of promoting it to death like Make It or Break It. I was seriously afraid they weren’t going to renew 10 Things and so relieved to read here they did.
Ive boycotted ABC family. They managed to find a way to kill the buzz that Kyle XY gave them when it started to the point of cancellation in record time. They gave the Middleman, which was a Reaper style scifi dramedy, the boot after one season.
I know ive read that stuff replacing Kyle XY has out performed it in the ratings but I wonder what how much the male demographic has changed after eliminating the two best shows they had geared towards it.
