  1. Nightstar

I’m guessing that the Special Report about Patrick Swayze (R.I.P) was on CNN? Just curious.

Otherwise… not much different in these numbers than before in order of finish.

  2. No, it was FOX News you can see it ran from 8p-8:30p with O’Reilly Factor at 8:30p with a separate accounting right under it.

  3. StompTheLibs

    Love your site.

Here on the Left Coast Beck rerun is on at 11pm and Red Eye on at midnite.

Any possibility of including those numbers in your coverage?

    Thanks!

  4. infantrydog

How can FOX leave BECK in the 5 o’clock slot. He beats Hannity in primetime ….If Beck was in primetime he would crush OREILLY too.. MOVE HIM ALREADY, HE”S EARNED IT!!!

  5. bill

Actually, the time for the Swayze coverage is inaccurate for Fox News. I was watching live, EST, and they ran the Swayze story during the first commercial break – quick cut in w/ Sheppard Smith -and got right back to the O’RF with the follow-up segment.
Do they usually count that as a full half hour of coverage?

Curious how they segment those ratings.

  6. 3-5 Fox Report
    6 – Special Report
    7 – Greta
    8 – Factor
    9 – Hannity
    10 – Beck
    11 – Red Eye
    Repeat starting with Factor.

    That would be sweet!

  7. Ed

Infantrydog….I’ve said the same thing many times. But someone pointed out to me that he does his radio show in the AM. To do a timely show in prime time would probably not be feasible. It makes all the sense in the world, though. He could certainly replace the early Bill O reruns!

I know Keith wasn’t on monday nite but his clone was there and said all the same things Keith would have said. Fox is now getting almost 4 times as many viewers as MSNBC in many time slots and Glenn was 5 times higher than tingly leg Chris. O’reilly got more audience at 11 than Overbite got at 8 and 10. It is not even a contest now.

It appears though that Keith has reached the bottom of his argument barrel since on his show tonite everyone on the right is now a racist.

  9. Sharon

He also showed what a liar Beck is. The man tried to say that there was almost two million people at the 9/12 March, when the highest report shows maybe 600 or 800,000, though ABC reported 60 or 70,000. The right has even used an old photo to “show” it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/14/912-tea-party-photo-false_n_286082.html
People watch Beck for a good laugh and that’s about it.

  10. Ryan

Yeah, 3 million people tune in to Beck for a laugh. Haha! Your laughable.

  11. Sharon

Oh yes they do. Unfortunatley there are people like you who take him seriously and follow every word that he says. How was that rally by the way with all the “Americans” there?

  12. Will

Hey Bill, you wouldn’t happen to have the overnight (12 am and on) ratings would you?

  13. Will

On an earlier post on why FNC gets so much on ratings I was a little unclear. Hard news wise, MSNBC and CNN focus on a broad spectrum of viewers where as fox targets a specific group. News programs like Countdown later on in the evening for MSNBC and CNN are the reverse. Same goes for Fox. As much as I like Countdown, Keith can be very abrasive, where as O’Rielly is a lot easier to take even if you don’t agree with him.

  14. db

Sharon, you will not make much progress in your argument using the huffington post as your source.

Not going to tell me how the f word makes your argument stronger are you??

You folks on the left just keep underestimating the anger of the American people over Obama’s policies and you are going to be shocked in nov. of 2010.

  15. Sharon

What’s wrong with the post? At least it produced a fact something Beck can’t seem to do as often as he likes to think.

  16. db

Fox gets the highest ratings because more and more folks are discovering that the rest of the media is not covering all the stories. They know they are missing something important if they don’t watch Fox.

Looks like Acorn is going down despite the fact Charlie Gibson was unaware of any of the story. How pathetic is that!!!

  17. db

Huffington Post is a left wing site that has an agenda and “facts” are not something they care alot about.

Why did you use the f word Sharon??

  18. Nice try Sharon, there was at least 1 million, btw, I don’t think I would be getting my “facts” from Olbyduesh, you have already lost all credibility just by admitting you watch that crap, next time come back with facts from Fox when your trying to make a point.

  19. Blaffie

What a paradox! You would think that a channel that is such an outlyer in terms of content would garner a relatively miniscule audience. FNC is the only one currently covering MAJOR tremors in our government administration, however, which seems to be the best explanation for this phenomenon. Although I have the utmost respect for Charlie Gibson as a newsman, he hardly knew what the questioner was talking about when asked for his thoughts on ACORN today. This story has been building for about 4 years now, and is finally coming to a head. No one else is covering the czars debacle, either, except to say essentially that these are FNC fabrications. I guess seeing is no longer believing.

The lesson: If you want ALL the news, include FNC in your viewing.

  20. Sharon

Oh yeah I’m gonna get facts from Fox, the same network that had Hannity on saying that the president called the heads of insurance comapnies bad people when Obama in fact said that they weren’t bad people. The only official report that has come out is that there were between 60,000 to 75,000, not the 1.7 million from a source that Beck suddenly couldn’t remember.
