FNC eclipsed its primetime cable news competition in both total viewers (3.29 million vs. 2.699 million for the combined CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and HLN) and adults 25-54 (1.009 million vs 916,000).
Update: The Glenn Beck numbers have been updated from the 3.909 million originally reported as 2.909 million. Though I entered the data exactly as I received it, it's the type of data entry error we're definitely capable of making. But I checked on the Nielsen data and it is indeed 2.909 million. We're sorry for any confusion (or heart palpitations).

Beck almost beat the Factor.
I do get a certain amount of Schadenfreude when looking at Fox’s competetion’s ratings.
I fail to see how Olbermann and Maddow contribute a dime to MSNBC’s credibility. How does regurgi-preaching what amounts to anti-Right hate speech to a receptive choir move any markers upward?
Watching these shows is like watching the same re-run each night, ad nauseum. Sometimes I turn the sound off and just watch their faces for a while. I will make a prediction about what is being
said–then turn the sound back on. Far more often than not, the prediction will be spot on: Smug, superior, hateful, all-knowing condescension and personal attack.
When the nasty demeanor of a host is the ONLY product being sold, what can that say about the viewership? Is there some kind of purient interest in violence going on here? Are the viewers Jerry Springer or street-fight junkies? At least with Springer, the perpetrators changed each show, as well as the victims.
Sorry, but I dismiss these two as hemorrhoids on the rear end of journalism.
“Madcow” couldn’t even break a million! Poor baby. LOL! And Keith as usual doesn’t even come close to the competition.
I guess Fox is like crack, it’s bad for you but you still have to do it, rigth guys? Watching Bill O’rielly is like watching a really frustrated Helen Keller express herself. At least MSN still have advertisers unlike Beck.
I don’t know how many times it has to be said before it will get into your heads that Fox News is not competing with any of the other cable news networks in ratings (and vice versa). Fox News will always be the king in viewers. The deranged viewers that trust the propoganda network will never trust a network with a semblance of objectivity.
The real competition is between CNN and MSNBC, and CNN continues to lose far more often than not.
TVNewser has Beck with 1 million less viewers.
That seems right or else his demo would be up there with BOR and Hannity’s.
Lurker, though I posted what I received, I tend to agree that TV Newser’s numbers for Beck make more sense. I’ll see what I can findout….
Really? a million less. Hm interesting. Wonder about that.
Amazing simply amazing………..
Time Magazine put Glenn Beck on the cover of the latest issue. I wonder how much that helps him.
Not sure if this should not always be the headline here is the day to day totals through Wed…..those on the left need to get a clue….

The Old Fringe leftist media has collapsed. Van Jones ACORN NEA Enough said. MARXIST=DEMOCRATS=TERRORIST All the same. Ask the 56 refounders. LOL!!!!
Information and the correct info is what I want out of news. None of the broadcast shows seem to be able to do this. The commentary becomes faceless when it is repetative. Night after night instead of just telling me what the news is your told what to believe of the news broadcast and only the portion they want you to hear. The only guests you see on the shows generally chime in with the host. Planned and predictable. Example, house and congress suspends funding for ACORN, try to get the reporting correct on either side, all you get is opinion and finger pointing. Why can’t the right and left report it for what the story is, a black hole that needs to be investigated. Anyone, and I mean anyone in there right mind on this issue would have to say that ACORN’s advise on the 12 to 15 year old nationals being imported for prostitution is outragous. Defend that on either side and it only means your making excuses for a good idea gone bad. Report don’t editorialize it.
Darin Pease says:
Not sure of your point FNC has claimed they were corrupt and even BOR interviewed Betha ??? the CEO of Accorn and asked to bring in independent auditors in to look into the Black hole and the skirted the issue. What I have heard about ACORN for the last couple of year from FNC is that it is the same as the MOB and do not be surprised if your see RICCO charges…. They are corrupt and that has been what FNC has reported no slant, no agenda, no editorializing…. and guess what a 20 yr old girl and 25 yr camera man did what 60 minutes, dateline line nightline etc used to do… Remember the sting ops that the MSM did to catch the old guys trying to hook up with under age girls…where is the MSM now is it becuase they were from S America???
Not sure of your point FNC reports and you can decide…excuse the typos
FOX, once again rules the day!
FNC reporting on this issue has been more in line with what I think reporting is about, maybe on the roast-em side but by far better than anything you get from Olderman and Maddow. Those two seem to want to deflect the news story which is not reporting news its covering it up. As far as the sting operation to uncover what is going on, your right that is what the “investigative reporting” used to be. I applaud that effort. Good Point.
Fox News will overtake CBS,ABC,NBC’s nightly news programs within the next year. You heard it from me first.
The sad thing is I remember when that was the norm but now that I am older I realize those stings (political) usaully happen more to the right oppents.
Although I was not at the march on 9/12 I applaud them. There is a change afoot and what I see is that it is building from the people up as apposed to the Carter/Regan period where in regan basically brought the population out of a deep depression about our country futures and our own depression about our own futures..I remember those lines…and high rates
