Friday (9/18) Adult demo results directly from NBC:
In Late-Night Local People Meters Friday night:
- Conan O'Brien (1.2/5 in 18-49 in local people meters) beat CBS's LATE SHOW encore (0.7/3) in Nielsen's 24 local markets with People Meters. Conan also prevailed over the LATE SHOW rebroadcast in adults 18-34 (1.2/6 vs. 0.3/2).
- At 12:35 a.m., Jimmy Fallon (0.7/5 in 18-49 in local people meters) topped CBS's LATE LATE SHOW encore (0.4/3). Jimmy also prevailed in 18-34 (0.6/4 vs. 0.3/2).

I assume we usually see national results rather than LPM results, right? If so, are these very different from those ratings? Why would NBC suddenly be using LPMs?
Julia, we started getting these local people meter metered-market late night results from NBC within the past month. I usually include them at the bottom of the overnight ratings post for that night, but instead of adding to Friday’s post (which no one would look at now), I posted them separately.
The press releases we see on Thursday’s (typically) have the final late night results for the previous week..
Oh, I thought the daily results were metered markets.
Julia, my understanding is that the fast affiliate overnight results come from all of the 56 markets that Nielsen has people meters in, but these late night “local people meter” markets are only from those markets (20ish?) tabulating local results. However, I’m sure Robert will correct me once he’s awake.
