NICKELODEON/NICK AT NITE RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS WEEK OF SEPT. 14

Fueled by solid performances of hit series The Penguins of Madagascar, iCarly and True Jackson, VP, Nickelodeon finished the week (9/14/09-9/20/09) on top with kids 2-11 and total viewers, averaging 1.8 million total viewers (P2+) and a 2.8/1.0 million kids 2-11.

A new episode of The Penguins of Madagascar “What Goes Around/Mask of the Raccoon” (Saturday, Sept. 19, 10-10:30 a.m. ET/PT) ranked as the number-one animated kids' telecast among total viewers and the top animated telecast with kids 2-11 for the week, averaging 4 million total viewers and a 6.4/2.3 million K2-11 (+12%).

A new episode of iCarly “iCook” (Saturday, Sept. 19, 8 – 8:30 p.m. ET/PT) posted double-digit gains for the night over last year’s like time period and bested direct competition by double- and triple-digits.  “iCook” earned 3.8 million total viewers and averaged a 7.8/1.7 million K6-11 (+90%); a 6.9/1.5 million T9-14 (+146%); and a 5.8/2.1 million K2-11 (+57%).

True Jackson, VP “Fashion Week” (Saturday, Sept. 19, 8:30-9 p.m. ET/PT) won its time period with tweens against the direct competition and posted double-digit gains over last year.  The new episode averaged a 4.5/960,000 T9-14 (+73%), a 5.5/1.2 million K6-11 (+57%); and 2.8 million total viewers.

Year to date (12/29/08-9/20/09), iCarly and True Jackson, VP are television’s top two-rated shows on Saturday nights, respectively, for kids 2-11, 6-11, tweens 9-14, and basic cable’s number-one show with total viewers. Nickelodeon’s premiere of The Troop (Friday, Sept. 18, 8-8:30 p.m. ET/PT) posted double-digit gains of +10% with kids 6-11 (3.3/713,000), +42% with tweens 9-14 (2.7/591,000) and +8% in delivery with total viewers (1.8 million) over last year’s like time period.

Nick Jr.’s Go, Diego, Go! “Polar Bear Rescue” one-hour special (Friday, Sept. 14, 10-11 a.m. ET/PT) drew 1.4 million total viewers and year-over-year gains with kids 2-5 (5.4/750,000).

Nick at Nite’s Monday (Sept. 14, 8-8:30 p.m. ET/PT) episode of Glenn Martin, DDS delivered 2.1 million P2+, nearing the series’ premiere week total viewer numbers.
