dang, even a little bit of early success will draw some hate!
You can’t tell me that wasn’t funny.
It’s not the classic multi-camera, punchline, belly laugh sitcom. They do seem to have more mass appeal (Two 1/2 Men, HIMYM, BBT) but a more subtle (sometimes called “edgy”) single-cam (The Office, 30 Rock.) All the nets, except CBS, seem to have given up going for the masses but rather going for target demos. This show is appealing to the same viewers who watch The Office and 30 Rock.
Personally, I thought the clip was funny and I hope for success for the show.
Who wants the ratings to go down? Chuck fans I bet.
Community is one of the funniest new shows around. Stop the hate.

elle…sorry but I am (as everyone who was around last season knows)a HUGE Chuck fan and I love Community. I don’t want it to fail at all!
Parks and Recreation is much funnier (8:30 slot, right before the Office). Community is pretty basic… the humor isn’t clever but trite. The actress who plays Britta is cute. Joel McHale isn’t a comedian. Chevy Chase is good. Pudi is good. Otherwise though, it’s ratings are surprising. I’d expect 3 mil viewers in future. It’s getting a nice bounce since its on right after the Office.
