DAVID LETTERMAN MARKS 5,000 LATE NIGHT BROADCASTS ON CBS's "Late Show with DAVID LETTERMAN," FRIDAY, SEPT. 25

Guests Include Film Star Bruce Willis and LL COOL J from the New Hit CBS Drama Series "NCIS: Los Angeles"

David Letterman marks 5,000 broadcasts in his late night television career on the Late Show with DAVID LETTERMAN, Friday, Sept. 25 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Letterman, who has notched 1,810 "Late Night" shows and, as of Friday, 3,186 broadcasts and four primetime specials of CBS's Late Show in his late night television career, comments during Friday's monologue that people "say to me, ‘Dave, what keeps you working night after night, week after week, month after month, year after year after year?  Seriously, why do you keep working?'  And I just tell them, ‘Well, Foxwoods gambling resort.'"

Friday's guests include Bruce Willis, star of the new film "Surrogates."  Willis talks about his provocative photo shoot in W magazine with his wife, Emma, in which he reveals his special tattoo homage to the women of "The View," and recounts a harrowing encounter on his ranch with a moose.

Also featured on Friday's 5000th show are actor LL COOL J, star of the new hit CBS drama series "NCIS: Los Angeles," who also this week was nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a performance by musical guests Noisettes.
