Variety is already reporting that Conan will be back at work on Monday, but for those interested, Teri Hatcher spills the beans on what happened (via ETonline.com):
Teri tells Lara she recently finished a triathalon, so she and Conan were taping a bit based on that for "The Tonight Show."
"We did this bit and at the very end, when we ran in to cross the finish line, he slipped as he was crossing the finish line and hit his head," Teri says. "And the thing was, I was in front of him so I didn't see it initially.
"He didn't get off floor right a way, but then he [seemed] like he recovered and [pulled] it together, and they did an instant replay, and you could really see his head hit the floor." She continues, "He did go to the hospital and he does have a concussion."

If this wasn’t a publicity stunt, it’s a kick in the head that Conan needs right now. Either way, NBC should PLAY THE TAPE and publicize it heavily all day Monday. All’s fair in love and ratings…
Hope he is okay. He has had alot of bad luck so far. Drop in ratings and now this incident.

Having watched the show on Monday, I’d have to say it was the most relaxed I’ve seen Conan on TV in at least a year. If that’s what it takes to knock some sense into him…
btw, I’ve slammed the back of my head like that on ice while figure skating. It hurts, and then you don’t remember much.
