That means there are no longer CBS produced shows outside CBS/CW

totally shocked by this move, especially with the heavy guest appearances on this show this season. felt for sure this show would have a long lasting pickup. didn’t watch it though. but still had high hopes for Mr. Bratt.

Bratt should go back to Law & Order, maybe on L&O CI. Do a Chris Noth!

Any quality show A&E gets their hands on is gone after two seasons.

This is really disappointing. This was such a quality show, and there really was nothing else like it anywhere. I hope they change their mind, maybe. Whoopi was great on it too.

  6. Maybe A&E will produce more quality programs like Hammertime and put them on their schedule. How about double episodes of Dog the Bounty Hunter? Is there no class left in the televsion business? The Cleaner and The Beast, unfortunately for this fledgling network, were the only reasons to even turn it on. The Cleaner was one of the best shows on TV and it is sad that it’s not returning. Yes, more Hammertime and Dog type shows so that A&E, which used to give us more upscale programming, can compete with Maury Povich and Jerry Springer for viewers.

A&E is not a feldgling network. It is one of the oldest and most watched cable networks. The First 48 is one of the most outstanding shows in tv history. I know there is a lot of criticism for Intervention, Obsessed, and Hoarders but I would argue those shows have have more positives going for them then negatives. I do not see those as being like Spring and Povich at all. Dog the Bounty Hunter, eh, maybe your right about that one.

I can not believe this — I love the show, I saw season 1 as repeats and was hooked so watched all of season 2 — the story is good and well written. Thumbs down to A&E!!

  9. Lacey

They have to make room for the Jackson brothers. It least they didn’t cancel Intervention, Paranormal State or Hoarders. I love those shows!

    I hate this! Can’t believe it….

To me Dog went down after he was cancelled the first time because people forgotten about him!!

I really don’t get this. This is a great show. Very realistic, and moving. Maybe there were some behind the scenes stuff going on. Hopefully , someone else with continue the show , though that probably is a pipe dream.

I am so sick and tired of these networks cancelling well acted shows and leaving trash like “Dog” & Hoarders on. Who care about losers who can’t throw away their trash? These shows cater to the people who would rather sit there and not think about a story line but just watch the dredges of society. Also, the networks pay very little as they cut out the writers and actors. I say screw A&E! While I like The First 48, I’ll give it up to boycott this crappy network!!

Love “The Cleaner”, bad move taking it off. However I also like “Dog” and “The First 48″.

I am gonna miss this great show about a dry cleaner in the south Bronx. Oh wait….um I don’t think I’ve even heard of this show.

  16. AC

Sprinkbot is saying I love this show but I also love two terible shows so my opinion is worthless.

Can not believe this is happening. The best show on A&E with the exception of The Beast. The Beast is understandable but The Cleaner,???? It is a shame and I hope CBS picks it up. I have watched since the first episode, and thought it was one of two shows on A&E worth watching. The Beast, and The Cleaner. Now both are gone. Too Bad for A&E for now, nothing is worth watching on this channel

  18. Mike

Too bad. One of the few new shows I liked.

  19. Deborah Johnson

I can’t believe it! The Cleaner is one of the best shows on A & E and here they are cancelling it. The Beast is understandable because of the death of Patrick, but this is very upsetting to here. Why are all the good shows being replaced by more Reality shows! Enough is enough. I hope A & E get a lot of emails from fans of the Cleaner and they change their minds about pulling the plug on another great show.
