NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Viewers of Sunday's launch of the new season of "Desperate Housewives" may have noticed a little something extra during the proceedings. As the show broke away for a set of ads, viewers saw a brief sign announcing a segment titled "Another Desperate Housewife," sponsored by Sprint.

During the short, which was crafted by "Desperate" staffers, romantic tension erupts among a married couple, with Sprint's Palm Pre playing a central role in the proceedings. In the next seven weeks, viewers will see seven more vignettes featuring the couple, who find that Sprint products help them learn more about infidelity, betrayal and justice than they ever might have imagined.

Fascinating! Will be watching DH (live) tonight to see who this works.

  2. Wow… it’s like The Truman Show!

I have the NFL game on and forgot all about DH premiering tonight. Got to see this – as if I don’t have enough reasons to laugh through my years already.

Of course I meant ” tears” – Freudian typo?

Well I saw the first one tonight – it was super short, but I think it’s a good advertising idea…it definitely caught my interest, so the ads did their job!

Looking forward to next week’s edition – although I wonder how they’re going to incorporate a phone into EVERY “story”…

Yes Grady it’s like the Truman Show…except it doesn’t involve filming someone’s real life without their knowledge, an infant being asopted from a corporation and raised on screen, a climactic escape…wait Grady it’s NOTHING LIKE THE TRUMAN SHOW. I think you need to re-watch that movie and work on your comparisons.

Tidbit: They filmed this in Edie’s old house (so they must be new neighbors).

I thought it was entirely too short and didn’t have any DH humor.

I haven’t watched a commercial, other than during the Super Bowl in over ten years. Thank god for my Replay TV, TIVO and now DVR. The greatest invention IMHO
