Firefly 7 years later; where are they now?

SCI FI Wire (powered by Syfy) has a fun post up for Firefly fans, and lovers of all things Whedon:

7 years after \<I\>Firefly\<\/I\>: Where are they now?

When Fox premiered Firefly on Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, all things seemed possible. Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel were still on the air and Joss Whedon was a god to us. He could do anything, and a bright, shiny new television show about a motley crew of smugglers who traveled aboard a Firefly-class spaceship called Serenity in the year 2517 seemed like it had infinite possibilities.

I know where Nathan Fillion is…….Castle

  2. Doghouse Reilly

    Not on the air.

    *rimshot*

  3. I thought Gina Torres was awesome on Alias, Morena Baccarin was pretty good on SG-1, Jewel Staite was great on SGA, and Adam Baldwin of course is amazing on Chuck. I’m disappointed none of the Nathan Fillion shows took off and now it looks like Castle is doomed as well.

“Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
    I don’t care, I’m still free
You can’t take the sky from me
Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain’t comin’ back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can’t take the sky from me
There’s no place I can be
    Since I found Serenity
But you can’t take the sky from me…”

  5. Wow, that picture is a horrible photoshop job. Let’s take all the individual cast photos and pretend we bothered to get a group shot!

  6. AO

Thanks for the link, though I do see that they didn’t include Summer’s role in the upcoming Lifetime movie “Deadly Honeymoon” or her involvement in the “Good Morning Rabbit” pilot.

“Jewel Staite was great on SGA…”

    Grrr.

I was a Paul McGillion fan. That series really shot itself in the foot with the Weir and Beckett developments, imo.

  8. @Julia

I may be looking into the picture too much, but I think the intent of the picture is to set everyone apart so people can look at their careers individually.

  11. daniel l

i really gotta watch the show, huh?

Of course a bush is going to dislike Firefly – that’s for the clever people ;)

daniel l, the entire run of the show is available on Hulu if you’re interested:

The only episode I actively loathed was Heart of Gold. Otherwise, the show was great.

  14. Bad Robot

Firefly was clowns in outer space. Jericho fans went down the same road and how they too are so dillusional they will think their show is coming back.

“Jewel Staite was great on SGAI’m disappointed none of the Nathan Fillion shows took off and now it looks like Castle is doomed as well.”

What universe do you live in? Jewel Staite was horribly wasted on Atlantis, she was a whinny little girl who would never have been made head doctor of the most top secret base in the multiverse.

Also Castle is doing perfectly fine considering ABC’s 10pm shows.

  16. I guess Beckett love still translates into Keller hate, and from the renew/cancel index, Castle is at the bottom of ABC.

most of the cast is working, one is on Chuck, castle, dollhouse, and now summer was added to dollhouse, a few of them arnt familar to me
