“Mad Men” Ratings for September 27, 2009: “Seven Twenty Three”
Sunday night’s Mad Men averaged 1.729 million viewers in its initial airing from 10p-11:02. That’s up from last week when the show competed with itself winning another “best drama” Emmy over on CBS and it averaged 1.57 million viewers.
That’s still far off shows ranging from Sons of Anarchy which averaged 3.49 million viewers last Tuesday and less than both Bravo’s Top Chef (2.844 million viewers last Wednesday) and Real Housewives of Atlanta ( 2.722 million last Thursday).
An encore of Mad Men from 11:02p-12:03a reeled in another 669,000 and still another encore from 1:00a-2:02a pulled in an additional 517,000, so combined for the night it adds up to 2.915 million…
