    My little show that could!!!

I remember when I first checked the ratings for NCIS it did like 16 million and a 3.0 demo and everyone was all “LOLZ, old people, gimme more Heroes.”

  5. cool

Seriously, WTF with NCIS? It’s a good with a great cast but those numbers are waaaay too high-

  6. Jeff G

It amazes me that NCIS wins in the coveted demo catagories, but, comments prevail that its older audience is too high. I noticed several postings to this on the other story about the ratings. If older audiences do not count, as long as the demos are won, how can their numbers be too high? Maybe CBS should cancel all its shows and start over with low expectations using cheap shows to garner a so-so demo with low old audience numbers and show profitablity. It seems some think that any sign of creativity is not needed as long as a $ is made.

  7. Jeff, there’s no such thing as too many viewers, no matter what the age is. But that doesn’t mean they actually count for much. Everything will make more sense if you pretend the viewer numbers don’t exist and there is only the demo number. :)

I think the good wife will get renewed for a 2nd season… and for sure a full first season

  9. Jeff G

Julia, the numbers make sense. Some comments do not. That is my point.

  10. Ignore the comments. :)

  11. Aaron

I’m happy that The Good Wife is strong out the gate. It’s the first CBS drama that I’ve invested time in for several seasons now.

  12. Joe R

    8pm CSI
    9pm NCIS
    10pm The Mentalist

is a good schedule for next year but it will never happen

The Good Wife will get a full year, but not likely season 2.

  15. tony

finally that darn CSI is no longer the number one drama on tv…thankfully Also i would like to state the good wife will have a long run it’s has great ratings

The Good Wife is an Excellent Show that is Getting Strong Ratings and will be renewed for a Second Season(I was the one who predicted that Cold Case would be Renewed when the so called experts in these chatrooms said it would be cancelled).

Also, I am so Tired of hearing about The “Older Audience” for these show. This Site is So Obsessed with the young Demographics. I could care less about what age group watches what show. I Only care about the total viewers in general . There is another site called ZAP TO IT RATINGS that I feel does a much better job at analyzing the ratings than this site. that site isnt nearly as obsessed with the younger demographics

“I could care less about what age group watches what show. I Only care about the total viewers in general”

That’s nice. Unfortunately the advertisers don’t agree with you and they determine what stays on television.

NCIS has been growing stronger and stronger for years. I am 27 years old and a loyal follower of NCIS. I am glad they are throwing out outstanding numbers in their seventh year.

  19. Greg

I really wish CBS would have left The Mentalist on Tuesdays. It probably would have been able to get atleast 20 million and somewhere in the 4.0 demo and all of this might have brought up the good wifes numbers.
