i love the new knight rider thay should definatley bring it back even if it takes a while and the others are on other projects finish those projects lets get knight rider back in production

I grew up watching reruns of original knight rider and liked how they tried to resurrect the series.I hope they realize that their numbers were better with the new knight rider than anything they plugged that timeslot wit.5 million viewers can’t be wrong.

Well the ratings don’t lie but it doesn’t matter at this point KR08 is dead and buried and nothing on this universe is going to resurrect it. All the cast members have moved on to other TV shows and movie. The KR franchise is and will remain up in the air for the foreseeable future and beyond. End of story, better to move on to other franchises that have better support not just from the fans but the producers as well. my 2 cents…

Sorry, Tory. The show(s) may have had a following, but it was a small cult following. Their numbers wer pretty crappy. Had they tapped into “Sex & the City” fanbase (which they were hoping to do), one or both would still be around.

Julia, it sounds like you barely tried the shows. Every woman in that age range isn’t going to like every show targeted at them. But for people willing to give the show a fair shot in that demo, especially in the second season, the majority loved Lipstick Jungle, look around on different forums, people were invested and loved the characters. Its a shame Nielsen didn’t capture more of those numbers.

And yes, they did overlap. Many people aren’t interested in watching 2 of the same shows, and that’s what this was. It doesn’t mean they had monster ratings, no one ever said they did, but they did hit a demo that isn’t addressed much in TV anymore.

And I’m not talking about an age range that goes up to 54. That’s not the key demo here.

Exactly right. If you looked at Cashmere v. Lipstick’s number, Lipstick didn’t exactly gobble up the formers numbers. Their HH and other demos were both abysmal.

I watched both Lipstick Jungle and Cashmere Mafia. I found Lipstick to be the more entertaining of the two. I think the characters were more believable.

Anyone who is looking for a good female-centric TV show should watch Eastwick. It’s like Desperate Housewives with witches or an older version of Charmed.

I’m female and fall into the 25-54 range. I was not a fan of Lipstick Jungle, and I avoided Cashmere Mafia. And, still, the fact that they were similar themes does not mean one displaced the other. There are similarly themed shows on different networks all the time.

Because they were overlapping themes. Same concept from the same team or should I say couple, whose relationship fell apart and one got a show with NBC and one got a show with ABC. May the best win since it was thought both wouldn’t coexist.

I definitely thought Cashmere Mafia was the better show. In the beginning. Lipstick Jungle made up for it in the second season, which was far superior to the first, definitely one of the best shows last season (ask women in the right age range, 25-45, I didn’t find one person who wasn’t loving it), and much better than Cashmere Mafia.

My daughter misses Cashmere Mafia, which Lipstick Jungle displaced. For once a role in which Lucy Liu didn’t have to act like a terminator or something- she was quite fun, and the rest were characters you could care about.

Oh, well- she’s been kinda sore that LJ took over for CM; this’ll make her feel better. :/

I miss Lipstick Jungle. There’s not a lot of good drama that’s not procedural focused for women anymore. Its like its Grey’s, DH, or bust, and those aren’t what they used to be.

They should bring Knight Rider back!!! That was one of my favorite shows and it was finally starting to get better after they cut down the cast and kept 4 of them. The F.L.A.G. foundation had just started and things were going better than before.
