HBO and Showtime: Curb Your Enthusiasm gets “Seinfeld” boost; Entourage finale draws 2.5 million

The “Seinfeld” cast boosted HBO’s  “Curb Your Enthusiasm” to its best numbers in five years, averaging 1.6 million viewers on Sunday night.

The 38 minute season six  finale of “Entourage”  averaged 2.5 million in its initial airing.  That was  up 21 percent from the season five finale.

The second episode of season four of “Dexter” averaged 1.3 million. “Californication” averaged 877,000.  Though Dexter was down from last week’s record numbers, it wasn’t a big drop off.

The third episode of HBO’s new series “Bored to Death” averaged 1.1 million,  a series best.
