Packers vs. Vikings on Monday Night Football sets cable viewing record with 21.8 million

Last night’s Monday Night Football game featuring the  Packers vs. Vikings game where Brett Favre led the Vikings to victory over his old team averaged a huge 21.8 million viewers and a 9.0 rating among adults 18-49. The previous cable record was last year’s Eagles vs. Cowboys contest with 18.6 million, so last night beat it by a pretty wide margin.

    • USA dominated cable entertainment networks in prime this week, delivering the most P25-54 (1.17 million, +42% over #2 TBS) and P18-49 (1.15 million,+ 20% over #2 TBS). USA was the top ad-supported entertainment network in prime in delivering total viewers (2.47 million, +41% over #2 Nick At Night) and households (1.86 million, +32% over #2 Nick at Night), as well as earning the top household coverage rating (1.87, +0.46 over #2 Nick at Night) among these networks.
