October 7, 2009 (Burbank, CA) –  The CW’s Tuesday night drama club of 90210 and MELROSE PLACE were on the rise, building off their week earlier performance in key demos, with 90210 matching season highs in women 18-34 and adults 18-49, according to Live Plus Same Day Nielsen ratings for Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009.

Compared to last week, 90210 improved by 4% in women 18-34 (2.5/7) and 9% in adults 18-49 (1.2/3), matching its season highs in both demos.  90210 also built by 7% in adults 18-34 (1.6/5), delivering the show’s second best performance of the season.  90210 was on par with last week in women 18-49 (1.7/4), tying its second best score of the season.

MELROSE PLACE built over last week’s episode in every key category, including 7% in women 18-34 (1.6/4), 10% in adults 18-34 (1.1/3), 9% in women 18-49 (1.2/3), 13% in adults 18-49 (0.9/2) and 10% in viewers (1.6mil).

  5. Samuel

  6. Jeremy

Yay! SOrt of a sigh of relief that it’s kind of growing. I am seeing a glimmer of hope for this show. And yeah Christopher get back into it. It’s actually very good!

  7. Brad

The only two shows I watch on Tuesdays.

  8. Craig

Ive been saying the past few weeks on here that the DVR numbers for MP would be high. Its following the same formula that 90210 did in its 1st season when there DVR ratings were impressive. For some reason people seem to DVR the CW shows

  9. Stuart

I think they are both here to stay. Heather Locklear will pull in some ratings.

  10. Julez

I hope Melrose Keeps on gaining it is such a great show i love Katie Cassidy she is increadible. Ashlee simpson is kinda annoying and really starting to freak me out lol but anywho the show is really good ive been telling people all about it to hep with rating i hope it gets another season lol BEST SHOW OF 2009

I watched MP for the curiosity factor – the original defined my teen years. To my utter surprise, it’s actually a decent show that’s gotten better since its premiere.

  12. Stuart is right.Heather Locklear will rise the ratings for Melrose Place.90210 is getting better and better.3rd season pick-up?

  13. Nice to see some support for Melrose. I hope it continues to build those numbers.

VA : “It’ll be at 7 million by the end of the season”

Are you kidding?? First it’s the CW not FOX and second if Heather Locklear can’t save the show, it will be cancelled, the ratings suck way too much. If the CW hadn’t spend so much money for promoting it, it would have had the same fate than Beautife Life already.
I was a huge fan of the original but a remake with Ashlee Simpson no thanks! but i may take a look when Heather comes back…

don’t get me start with 90210 what a crappy show…

  15. Robert

This is great news if it’s significant. I hope this isn’t the PR Voodoo this website warned about. I really want MP to make it.
