I used to like watching fox business in the morning. I hate IMUS in the morning. I don’t watch fox business anymore. Now I turn on cnn. I can not believe ppl like watching him.

GO IMUS!
While being in less than HALF the homes, Imus has STOMPED the competition for TWO WEEKS. CNBC SUCKS and CNN is total crap, attempting to use a network for an anal probe for the democrat party. The lack of guts to actually report the news is amazing. The Imus business reports are spot on and the new format that FOX is using is BRILLIANT. Imus has the biggest heavy hitting guests on the circuit and his ability to make the guests squirm is wonderful!

Imus is probably the funniest and most insightful commentator on morning radio. Period. Anyone who has ever listened to Imus has heard top-shelf writers, educators, politicians, economists, reporters, pundits, comedians, bands — anyone who has a reasonable set of brains and something to contribute is eventually invited on the show. Others need not apply: they won’t be invited anyhow.

His guests sometimes include impersonators (“The Godfather”, “Bill Clinton”, et. al.) whose satirical rants are dead-on accurate.

Those who “don’t get” Imus or are “offended” by the show need to get their shorts untwisted and learn to laugh at themselves. After all, it is THEY who are the real problem here, not a talk show host whose gig hasn’t changed in more than 20 years.

Iraised my kids with Imus in the Morning because of his true ability of presenting issues objectively while at the same time ventilating his opinion and sometimes his opinion was not in sync with either side, left of right, but he was fearless in stating it. That is whatdemocracies are about.

On this network I find him playing footsie with open-mindedness with his guests. If hisguests are critical of Fox he chastises them. That’s not Imus. That’s phoney irrespective of whether it is in the agreement or he’s doing out of courtesy. He raked MSNBC over the coals fortheir phoney BS. And that’s the way it should be with Fox.

I commend Fox for bringing him back just take the handcuffs off.

What on earth does Imus have to do with business? Apparently his senile ramblings appeal mostly to … others approaching senility. W won in ’00 because Gore was (and is) a loser. W won in ’04 because Kerry was (and is) a loser. Ofama won in ’08 because all the GOP could come up with was John McCain. And CNBC and Bloomberg win because FOX-Business put on this over-the-hill, no-filter-between-brain-and-mouth loser on for the pre-open slot.

Imus fits on an entertainment channel, not a channel holding itself out as a business channel. Imus sorts out with car wrecks filmed from helicopters, or as a still life caricature of a gossip show – not in a slot and on a channel that SHOULD be telling us what the futures indicate about market open.

Remembering that this is a ‘radio show’ with pictures, from a production angle, this is the best version of IMUS in the Morning I’ve seen. Some of the early MSNBC days(and the occasional CSPAN visit) were not much more than a couple of static security camera shots. People that don’t “get” Imus never will. I’m 58 and watch or listen to the program whenever possible. Mind you, this is the only time I’ll click to any Fox program or channel. The last time I watched a Fox offering with any devotion was “Breakfast Time” on FX with Tom Bergeron. IMHO, that was GOOD television!

It’s great to see the last radio “talent” (and I mean last)once again on national television.

In 1971, when Don hit New York Radio, he was one of 10 major personalities, today he’s the only one left in the country.

I refuse to count “right wing” telephone talk “entertainers” who are fanatically followed by 5% of the population.

If you haven’t noticed, “We’ve spent the last 8 years having all our money and rights taken away by the far Right?”.

At best, 13 million lost US jobs might come back in 10 years.
Don’s right it’s a freak parade and until we have spendable income the
freaks will keep getting bounced out of the office.

P.S. Except for IMUS, the national radio talk show people wouldn’t know a joke if they had to.

i think this success (if you want to call it that) for imus will be very temporary. he is a train wreck waiting to happen. this guy just shoots off at the mouth and says whatever he wants about anybody without thinking first. he will be the same don imus no matter where he goes… fox wont change him as much as anybody else can. fortunately, for fox, even if he makes the same outlandish comments he has always made, they wont let him go IF he generates ratings, something they are known for (i.e. oreilly, beck, etc). if not, then we’ll see. and since he is on an already failing business network that wouldnt dream of competing with cnbc (ONE day of beating cnbc in ONE show doesnt count as an actual win… he has to win the month to really gloat), the expectations won’t be too much.

since I didn’t see the numbers I can’t say whether they are right. But given what was reported I think its fair to assume if they are correct, that almost all of the viewers were over 54, however, some tiny bit of it could’ve been under 25. they also reported 73,000 in the 35-64 group so my guess is there was relatively quite a bit of 65+ viewing.
