Almost everything was down...
Survivor: Samoa took the 8pm hour though it was down a few ticks from last week. FlashForward took a big dip from last week's 3.7 adults 18-49 rating down all the way to a 3.0 this week. I DVRd it and watched baseball. FlashForward did win the hour with adults 18-34 though. Bones was actually up a couple of ticks vs. last week.
Community took a pounding in its move from 9:30p to 8:00p, dropping all the way from a 2.9 to a 2.0. However, that's an improvement versus last week's 1.8 for SNL: Weekend Update. In fact, the NBC lineup improved in each time slot versus last week.
The hour long wedding episode of The Office pulled a 4.5 rating, up from last week's 3.7. Grey's Anatomy dropped from a 6.0 rating with adults 18-49 last week to a 5.3 this week. CSI also took a hit dropping from last week's 4.0 to a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating last night.
Private Practice was down big from last week's premiere, and The Mentalist dropped a few ticks at 10pm as well. The Jay Leno Show improved a tick, but it had a much better lead-in with the hour long Office than last week. Updates and total viewers will be added soon...
Retentionistas will be all over Fringe dropping to a 2.1, but like Flashforward, for me, Fringe went by the wayside for baseball last night. Even with this, FOX was the only network up year over year for the same night with adults 18-49. It was only up 9% versus last year, but all of the other networks were down. So far this year, FOX is up 39% versus last year on Thursdays with adults 18-49.
On the CW The Vampire Diaries is staying strong, and at least with 18-49s was unchanged week over week. Supernatural was down a tick with 18-49s, which is too bad since it was fun to see Paris Hilton mock herself for spray tans and small dogs, and then get to see her head Chopped off with an iron axe!

Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Baseball hit a lot of shows hard.
I knew Flashforward would be this years bionic woman (big ratings but down every week)
Jesus. Nobody’s watching Supernatural.
Disappointing to hear all around. But we all knew NBC was retarded for the time switches and all. I have to imagine baseball is the reason FlashForward took a hit. I bet the DVR numbers will be higher than usual thanks to that.
Too much on last night. ESPN showed college footbal Nebraska v Mizzou, two ranked teams. That’s what I watched after The Office. Community, P&R and Vamp. Diaries will have to wait until the weekend!
“I knew Flashforward would be this years bionic woman (big ratings but down every week)”
Most shows dropped because of baseball, so FF wasn’t the only one. CSI, The Mentalist, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Fringe, and other dropped also.
but FF had the biggest drop
Alex_j >
Lord. Nobody’s watching CW
as a % Flashforward lost 20$ between episode 2 and 3 which cant be good
Hope big drop in FF is because of Baseball, becuase if it isn’t mmmm…. Other show in danger on ABC? ouch..
NBC whatever they do is not enough to be decent
Fringe is like dead here
CSI lower and lower so The Mentalist
I predict Desperate Housewives will beat Grey’s in total viewers this week.
The difference between FF and the other shows (the office wedding makes it an exception) is that they all took a hit, but they maintained their relative positions (except for CSI because of The Office anomaly). FF last week tied with survivor, this week survivor 0.4 ahead.
“but FF had the biggest drop”
From thr:
“With heavily viewed baseball playoffs on cable almost certainly impacting broadcasters yet again, ABC won the night starting with “FlashForward” (9 million, 3.0), down 19% this week. “Grey’s Anatomy” (13.8 million, 5.3) fell 13% and “Private Practice” (9.5 million, 3.7) down 20%.
In second, CBS ran “Survivor: Samoa” (11.7 million, 3.4), which slipped 8%, “CSI” (14.6 million, 3.4) was down 17% and “Mentalist” (14.2 million, 3.2) was off 16%. ”
It shows that PP had the biggest percentage drop. Hell, The Mentalist even dropped 16% and CSI 17%. That isn’t normal.
I dont know Sam, baseball will only continue to grow as the series goes deeper and unless the Yankees sweep the Twins, game 4 is schedule for that night. Plus you have colts at titans but with Tennessee being winless, ratings could take a hit.
oh BTW a firefly cast member was on flashforward last night (Gina Torres) guess the curse continues.. she;ll be on GG week after next too (last season she guested on Dirty sexy money ,pushing daisies and eli stone lol)
Parks and Rec got a better rating over Community?
its kinda funny. for years playoffs were on network television and would get slaughtered in the ratings, usually female oriented shows would hit season highs. Now that its moved to cable for the early matchups, its hurting network shows.
So I note that not only did Community do better in the demo that SNL in that timeslot (2.0 vs 1.8 last week) but P&R did better afterwords as well (2.2 vs 1.9 last week)
Now Community is down from 2.9 in the post-office timeslot but overall the night is better for NBC. It is too early to tell if the move worked or not, I assume we will need a couple of other weeks to really get a clear sense of what is going on.
What will be really interesting is if 30Rock comes back into the post-office slot doing worse in the demo that Community was doing. anyone have a good prediction for the over/under on that?
House is gaining on Grey’s. 5.1 to 5.3 this week, 5.7 to 6.0 last.
“Jesus. Nobody’s watching Supernatural.”
I am!
