I don't have the comparisons to last season's comparable date's ratings, but SNL was down a tenth of a HH ratings point vs. last Saturday.
Directly from NBC:
In late-night metered-market households Saturday night:
- Saturday Night Live (4.6/11 in metered-market households), hosted by Drew Barrymore and featuring musical guest Regina Spektor, dominated its time period.
- Saturday Night Live delivered the #1 non-sports rating of the night in the metered markets, topping all primetime entertainment telecasts on all the major networks. In fact, SNL outscored every Saturday primetime non-sports telecast on every major network over the past four months (since June 6).

Two things probably determined this:
1. Reynolds has more buzz than Drew (Proposal/Wolverine/Deadpool/Green Lantern all bring a HUGE group of eyeballs plus first two were huge in the box office – vs. Whip It not really finding an audience in the theater, and Drew not being a huge draw lately).
2. “Lady” Gaga getting MASSIVE attention from all media outlets vs. a relatively unknown artist.
whos on next week
its a rerun
After two or three episodes, it’s time for a rerun? Nice schedule!
Primetime nonsports meaning you subtract both CBS and ABC (college football) out of the equation. NBC had at least according to schedule golf until 9 and then repeats of Trauma and SVU. Even TBS had baseball. So basically SNL is bragging about beating its own networks dramatic repeats and FOX with its 87th consecutive seasons of Cops/AMW Way to go Lorne!
Actually, next week is not a rerun — Gerard Butler is hosting with musical guest Shakira.
