Top 25 lists for premiere week with DVR factored in: Glee Jumps 12 spots to make 18-49 top 25

I saw a comment or two asking for the top show lists for premiere week with the full week of DVR viewing factored in.  I'm not sure I'll do these regularly because there's not usually much movement, but it was, after all, premiere week.

First the 18-49 viewing, where perhaps the most notable thing is that Glee jumped from 36th all the way to 24th.   There were a couple of other shows that moves 7 or 8 spots.

And what of Dollhouse's ginormous DVR numbers?  Uh...in total viewers it went (among the big four plus CW; or is that the big three plus NBC and CW?) from 72nd to 68th.   With adults 18-49 it went from 74th to 72nd.  That was out of 77 broadcasts on those five networks...

    What happened to the 6th ranked 18-49 show using Live +SD? Did it drop outside the top 25 for Live +7?

    Quinn, good eye!

    But not really, it was just a victim of slightly different data sets. The #6 Live+SD was the Sunday Night Football “Prekick” which ran from 8:22-8:31. It was in the weekly Live+SD info we saw, but not in the Live+7 totals. I’m guessing that’s because it had a duration of less than 15 minutes.

    Hmm, 20 4+’s vs. 23 4+’s. Not that big of a leap. For #’s that include DVR, I like to bump everything down one point to see how well it’s doing. Which means in my head DVR #’s are only impressive if they by themselves are a point.

    CSI, Mentalist, & Office got exactly 1 point. House & Grey’s got more than a point.

    The only numbers that matter to advertisers are Live, SD & +3.

    @Jack, Actually, it would be the C3, which is the commercial viewing within the first three days. Unfortunately, we rarely see those numbers, so we work with what we have.

    Once I get a DVR by being on this site. Cable i will DVR broadcast i will watch live or Itunes/Hulu to keep my shows alive.

    A CW absence is expected. NBC has only football and The Office in the top 25, then when DVRs are factored in, only football remains and Office disappears. Zero regular NBC shows in the top 25 now. Who would have guessed that for five years ago?

    I thought Private Practice got a quite high 18-49 premiere numbers, around 4.5?

    Did it still not make the list?

    Liban, the PP premiere was the following week. This is the week of Sept 21-27.

    I like this chart quite a lot.
    1. As mentioned above, numbers look healthier this way.
    2. May be more comparable to seasons from 5+ years ago.
    3. Only this way can I see DVR numbers for The Simpsons…since the increase for them isn’t always that big…
