Whoa! What was on CNN on Saturday? They beat Fox News in ’25-54 Prime Time’ by 15K!!! Bring on the “CNN: #1 in cable news” ads already.

  2. Sharon

I guess journalism and facts can trump the “unbeatable” opinion spin eh Apple Stinx. Anyone catch Anita Dunn’s comments about Fox. I wonder how long it will take Fox and company to attack her and accuse her of being a comunist.

  3. cindy

    Sharon,

If the “shoe fits,” Fox will be the first to let you know! Anita Dunn made ridiculous statements. Is this the beginning of a “Chavez, Castro” answer to free speech?

Fox has a more balanced audience than any other cable news network. Pew Research Center shows Fox has about 30+% liberals, 30+% democrats, 40+% conservatives.

  4. They had something on called “Escape from Jonestown” or something along those lines. I watched it, pretty good show.

  5. CNN that is.

  6. Sharon

She did bring up a good point though, if the only source of news that you had last fall was Fox then you would’ve thought that the only problems this country had was Bill Ayers and ACORN. Both of which are things that I and I think most Americans and audiences could care less about right now.

  7. Michael

And if your only source of news is CNN you would know that the right-wing extremists at Saturday Night Live who dared poke fun at the President’s non-record of accomplishments required fact-checking.

  8. I suspect, many 25-54 group were either attending or watching football games over the weekend. Plus football games are soooooo much more entertaining than sitting home in front of a boob tube all weekend. Football in the stadium on Sat and football at home on Sun afternoon and football Sun night. I never watch CNN for news — only if there is some special program but rarely even then. Would rather ratch history or travel channel than CNN anyday. Fox is great and fair and balanced. Most people who complain about Fox don’t even watch it. LOL

  9. Sharon

Yes you would also know about two wars, a mortgage crisis, a bad economy the need for health care in this country. You also wouldn’t see the coverage of SNL as often on CNN as you heard about Ayers, Acorn and how we’re all going to become communist in four years, at Fox.

  10. Sharon, FNC covered much more than ACORN and Bill Ayers during the run-up to the elections. If you watched you’d know. If you listen to Obama’s FNC Czar, or other lefty sources you get the “knowledge” of what FNC discussed that you have. Which couldn’t be more wrong. That is undebateable.

I’m thinking the Whitehouse is going to start a battle with FNC that they won’t look good at win, loose or draw.

They don’t want us discussing politics here but if you’d like to come join us here on a forum created by user Mike B:

They covered right after the health speech Obama gave and prqactically made it look like he was what caused the controversey that it had. Annita called out FNC just as other commentators called out MSNBC during the Bush years. Although I feel that Dunn has more reason given that Foxes goal seems to be to get people fired in the administration and diiminish whatever Obama does. It’s pretty sad when they’re happy about Chicago not getting the olympics and asking for the president to turn down a high honor.

  12. I don’t recall anybody on FNC acting “happy” that America didn’t get the olympics. I don’t remember anybody saying to turn down the Peace Prize either.

  13. Sharon

Beck on his radio show asked for Obama to turn it down.

  14. Can’t refute that, don’t listen to the radio, although I keep saying one of these days I’ll see if I can get his show.

However I can’t disagree on the thought either.

    Sharon says:

Beck on his radio show asked for Obama to turn it down.

So did a lot of other people not only in the media, but across the country and the world for that matter. I mean come on!

  16. MikeB

And if ANY of you get your “emotions” all wound up and feel the need to vent more forcefully here, I promised Bill and Robert that I would try and help keep the much more “heated” debates out of here per their wishes.
As Charlie has mentioned on several comments already, I created a place we all can go and “vent” to our hearts content. There’s no monetary gain in it for me, just an outlet for myself and others to go and voice our opinions more directly.
Hope to see more of you there over time! :)

Beck’s Radio Show =/= Fox News Channel

  18. Rosie

actually, I live in a pretty mixed community here. we blab a lot while raking and doing other things outside… cook outs and such. We are a fantastic mix of conservative, liberal, dems, republicans, and many independants. It is wonderful.
anyway, re the Nobel Prize. ALLLLLL of us here in our neighborhood in Northern Virginia think he should have respectfully declined the award.
This was clearly a political move by the Nobel people in Norway and quite silly really. Norway is extreeeemely liberal by the way, so they love LOVE liberals.

    Now, these numbers today. *yawn*

The forums that Mike B and Charlie created. I signed up already and will try to visit often. I have a busy life but I will make an attempt to visit every day

Sharon. Calm down, *breathe* you are turning BLOOOO

  19. Rosie

That Anita Dunn is a crazy communist
    LOLOL

  20. Just for the record Rosie, I didn’t help create the forum in any way. Thats all Mike B’s idea and work so please give him all the credit. I just think it was a good idea and happened to be the first to sign up
