Vampire Diaries is kicking major ass for The CW! What the hell is taking so long for it to be renewed not just scripts for a full season?!

  2. Why do people keep asking? VD isn’t in any danger whatsoever of not getting a back-9, so who cares when it is ordered? Really?

  3. Christopher

Greys is making a killing in the demo and Beating CSI demos

  4. Christopher

and again Private Pratice beats the Mentlist in the demo

  5. Joselito

To Julia yes it does matter! It shouldn’t take this long to realize that Vampire Diaries is a huge hit for The CW. They renewed 90210 last year after like 4 episodes!

  6. Greg

Does anyone have half hour or 15 minute breakdown results for The Mentalist or CSI?

  7. Joselito, no it doesn’t matter. The announcement will be timed for maximum PR benefit, not for fans who ridiculously feel slighted about “the when”

Since its Friday, ill say that I am “freaked out” about Parks And Rec. It should really be growing in the second half hour. I would feel even a little bit better had it just ticked up like the Office. I think it’ll probably get a full season… I gues… but there is no way it will see a ssn3, right? Perhaps the 18-34 demo can save it. Does anyone have show-specific 18-34 data for nbc last night?

  9. Christopher

if there wasnt a million shows on Thursday Vampier Daires, Greys, CSI, Fringe, Private Pratice Mentlist

  10. MC

Woohoo, I was actually right my prediction for Bones’ finals:

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see at a 2.7 or 2.8 and 9.5mil when the finals come out.”

I’m going to bask in my prediction glory and in celebration, leave work early.

PS NBC, Just go ahead an cancel Parks & Rec, it may be a funnier show than it was last year but viewers just don’t seem to care. It’s had its shot in a great slot but it just isn’t grabbing anyone. I guess The Office 2.0 isn’t what people wanted.

Okay, the Grey’s/Practice #’s make more sense than before, though I wonder if the smaller gap is because of the crossover…

CBS Thursday hour to hour (3.5, 3.6, 3.5), and Vampire Diaries (W 18-34 avg so far 2.72; this week 2.7) week to week, are nothing if not consistent; Super gets about half of its young women.

  12. Christopher

lets see how the NCIS and NCIS lA cross over does this Tuesday

  13. Pete

Man I hope Parks & Rec doesn’t get canned. It’s by far my favourite sitcom this year.

  14. Isn’t this about the 3rd or 4th week in a row the Nielsen ratings have gone low on Bones in the overnights? I think each time they’re down by about .2 as well, perhaps they should add that in to their curve.

As for VD (Vampire Diaries though Venereal Disease could be applicable), it seems to be doing well among the tweeners and those missing out on True Blood. I just wish more people would tune into Fringe, such a well written show.

  15. Boris

    Christopher says:

“if there wasnt a million shows on Thursday Vampier Daires, Greys, CSI, Fringe, Private Pratice Mentlist”

“Vampier Dairies”? It just might sell.

  16. tdot

it seems like the Mentalist’s ratings are heavily dependant on its lead in

  17. mayorofsmpleton

Enough whining about Vampire Dairies. It will get a full season as well as another shot next fall, no questions. Is there any question? Stop complaining. It is the #1 show on CW right now… give it a rest…

  18. mayorofsmpleton

A better question is when are we going to get the results of the MEDIUM Season 5 contest? Any news on that front, Robert?

  19. mayorofsimpleton, the update to the Medium DVD contest gave the correct viewership number, and stated I was contacting the winners.

I am still waiting for some of the winners to respond, but if you weren’t contacted, you aren’t a winner.

What other results are you looking for? A list of the comment thread names of the winners? I’ll do a post with those on Monday when I reach my deadline for hearing back from the winners.

  20. mayorofsmpleton

Nah, I just did my own spreadsheet of the guesses — 10 closest without going over — and thought I was in the list. Definitely wasn’t contacted though. :(
