Home to 7 of TV’s Top 10 telecasts and 11 of the Top 15, including the No. 1 telecast with Sunday’s “Hannah Montana,” Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 5th consecutive week, and for the 22nd time in 23 weeks in Tweens 9-14 (522,000/2.1 rating), besting second-place Nickelodeon by 10% (474,000/1.9 rating).
In Prime, Disney Channel scored its 238th consecutive victory in Kids 6-11 (1.2 million/4.8 rating) and 234th in Tweens 9-14 (956,000/3.9 rating), representing 4-1/2 years of dominance.
- With Sunday’s “Hannah Montana” (5.7 million), the week’s No. 1 scripted cable telecast, this week marked the 3rd straight week that Disney Channel has owned the No. 1 scripted telecast on all cable.
- Overall, Disney Channel delivered 4 of the week’s Top 6 scripted cable telecasts with Sunday’s “Hannah Montana” (No. 1 - 5.7 million, 7:30 – 8:00 p.m.), and Friday’s all new episodes of “The Suite Life on Deck” (No. 4 – 4.7 million, 8:30 – 9:00 p.m.), “Wizards of Waverly Place” (No. 5 - 4.6 million, 8:00 – 8:30 p.m.) and “Phineas and Ferb” (No. 6 – 4.5 million, 9:00 – 9:30 p.m.).
- Sunday’s all-new “Hannah Montana” was the week’s No. 1 TV telecast in Kids 6-11 (2.2 million/8.9 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (2.3 million/9.4 rating) and cable’s No. 1 scripted telecast in Total Viewers (5.7 million), standing as the show’s most-watched episode in over 3 months (since 7/5/09). In fact, it was the 2nd most-watched episode in more than 2 years - since 8/17/07.
- Sunday’s “Hannah Montana” out-delivered Saturday’s original “iCarly” (8:00 – 8:30 p.m.) by 1 million viewers, or by 21% (5.7 million vs. 4.7 million), by 22% in Kids 6-11 (2.2 million vs. 1.8 million) and by 21% in Tweens 9-14 (2.3 million vs. 1.9 million).
- Posting series highs in key demos, Friday’s all-new “Phineas and Ferb” (9:00 – 9:30 p.m.), part of the net’s “Night of Premieres” programming event, ranked as TV’s No. 1 animated telecast in Kids 6-11 (2.1 million/8.5 rating, No. 2 overall) and Tweens 9-14 (1.6 million/6.4 rating), and cable’s No. 1 animated telecast in Total Viewers (4.5 million).
- In Kids 6-11, Disney Channel aired TV’s Top 3 regularly scheduled series with “Phineas and Ferb” (1.26 million/5.1 rating), “Wizards of Waverly Place” (1.2 million/4.8 rating) and “Hannah Montana” (1.2 million/4.7 rating).
- Impressively, this week marked the 2nd consecutive week that “Phineas and Ferb” was TV’s No. 1 series in Kids 6-11.
- In Tweens 9-14, Disney Channel held TV’s Top 3 regularly scheduled series with “Hannah Montana” (1.0 million/4.2 rating), “Phineas and Ferb” (957,000/3.9 rating) and “Wizards of Waverly Place” (926,000/3.8 rating).
- Saturday’s “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” (9:00 – 9:25 a.m.) stood as the No. 1 weekend TV telecast in Kids 2-5 (925,000/5.6 rating), with the series placing 5th overall for the week (693,000/4.2 rating, 8 telecasts). Moreover, “Handy Manny” ranked among the week’s Top 10 TV series in the target demo (No. 8 – 581,000/3.5 rating).
