Though my new favorite show, FX’s Sons Of Anarchy didn’t even make the weekly cable top 40 by viewers (it was 49th, 3.312 million) it was the number three show with adults 18-49 on cable last week, trailing only ESPN’s Monday Night Football, and TBS’ coverage of game one of the NLCS between the Phillies and the Dodgers.

Sons Of Anarchy was the only scripted show in the 18-49 top 10 last week (unless you count WWE  Monday Night Raw at  #s 5 & #8 as scripted content!).

Sons Of Anarchy was also the only scripted non-animated show with adults 18-34 last week, coming in 8th.  Besides trailing football and baseball action, it also trailed The Ultimate Fighter (#3), South Park (#4) a Family Guy rerun on Adult Swim on Sunday night (#5) the Sportscenter that followed Monday Night Football (#6) and another repeat of Family Guy on Adult Swim last Thursday night (#7).   Three additional Family Guy reruns on Adult Swim rounded out the top 10 (I know that adds up to 11 shows, but the last two were tied).

  1. Chris

    great show

  2. Jim

Adult Swim is a force to be reckoned with, especially with adults 18-34.

  3. Visan

Kudos to SOA! Fabulastic show! :)

  4. Kate

    This show ROCKS!
I love it hard. Please, please, please keep it on the air.

  5. Mad Kudos to Kurt & his Men of Mayhem!! This show kicks butt!!

  6. Len

It may be rated tops with the 18-49 age group but I am 66 and I have been a huge fan of SAMCRO from the first episode. It’s a great show and Kurt Sutter did an excellent job. I’d rather miss pay day and dinner too than miss SOA. :o )

May it last many years, go into reruns forever, followed by “Sons of Anarchy” the book and of course a block buster big screen movie.

  7. Mel

I love SAMCRO!! Excellent, excellent show. Glad to see it doing so well in the demo.

  8. Dobber

Kurt Sutter said on twitter that he promises to publish THE LIFE AND DEATH OF SAM CRO. HOW THE SONS OF ANARCHY LOST THEIR WAY after season seven. I hope, no wait… I know I wont be the only one that buys and reads this book… probably multiple times. long live SAM CRO!

  9. Tommy

Best show on Tv no doubt

  10. Catie

So happy SOA is doing well. I really feared it falling into “Too Good To Last” territory. I almost didn’t start watching it because I didn’t want to get attached and then have it cancelled.

  11. Elizabeth

I just started watching this season. SOA is beyond excellent and I’m certainly too old to be in the prime viewer demographic. It’s so refreshing to be able to watch an “original” show. Everything else seems just so generic.
