On Friday Night among Adults 18-34, Regardless of Language

NPM Broadcast Prime Highlights Week of 10/12/09

•     Univision was the #2 broadcast network in the country on Friday night among all Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and ranked #3 amongTeens 12-17 (246,000).  Additionally, Univision was the #4 network on Friday night among Adults 18-49 (1.9 million), beating NBC, CW and Telemundo.

•     On Friday night, Univision’s novelas ranked within the Top 3 primetime programs among Adults 18-34, with #2 “Sortilegio” (Love Spell) and #3 “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love).

•     In head-to-head competition, Univision’s novela block out-delivered the Friday night two-hour (8-10pm) premiere of ABC’s “Ugly Betty” among all Adults 18-49 (+16%), Adults 18-34 (+58%) and Teens (+67%).

•     Univision was the #5 broadcast network in the country in overall prime among all Adults 18-49 (1.7 million), Adults 18-34 (985,000), Households (2.0 million) and Persons 2+ (3.4 million).

•     For the week, Univision ranked #2 among Kids 2-11 (430,000) in primetime, beating CBS, ABC, NBC, CW and Telemundo.

•     Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on 4 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-34, Teens 12-17 and  1 night among Adults 18-49.

•     Univision’s “Sortilegio-Tue” (Love Spell) was one of the Top 30 programs of the week among Adults 18-34, beating English-language shows like CBS’ “CSI:NY”, “Accidentally on Purpose”, “NCIS:Los Angeles;” FOX’s “Bones”, “FOX MLB ALCS GAME 1 (Fri);” ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars”, “Extreme Makeover:HM Ed-8P;” and NBC’s “Law and Order: SVU” and “Parks and Recreation”.

•     “En Nombre del Amor” (In the Name of Love) made Univision the #4 ranked network in the 8pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.2 million), Teens (246,000) and ranked #3 among Women 18-34 (768,000).

•     In the 9-10pm hour, Univision’s “Sortilegio” (Love Spell) helped the network rank #3 among Women 18-34 (923,000), beating NBC, CBS, CW and Telemundo.  Additionally, the novela ranked #5 among Adults 18-34 (1.4 million), Adults 18-49 (2.4 million), Persons 2+ (4.5 Million) and Women 18-49 (1.5 million).

•     In its second week, Univision’s 9pm novela, “Sortilegio” attracted close to 300,000 more Viewers 2+ than its premiere week with significant audience increases among Adults 18-34 (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+10%), Women 18-34 (+8%) and Women 18-49 (+9%).

•     Monday night’s telecast of “Cristina” featuring the second part of the interviews with the cast of “Mañana Es Para Siempre” garnered Univision the #3 spot in the 10-11pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and ranked #5 among Adults 18-49 (2.0 million).

•     “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #2 ranked network on Saturday night among Kids 2-11 (283,000) and ranked #3 among Persons 18-34 (609,000) and Teens 12-17 (122,000).
