Yes. TPIR2 has always been the big ratings winner. Probably combo of time and showcase showdown. That and Y&R have drivers of CBS Daytime.

TPIR is cooking this season. The new set is wicked cool, and Drew has finally grown into his own as the host of TPIR.

I find it interesting that their ratings go up by 20-25 percent in the second half-hour. Has the difference always been that profound?

@J.R. Herbaugh – These ratings have nothing to do with the double Price is Right days before LMaD premiered – they’re for the week of October 16th. LMaD premiered on the 5th.

Glad to see Drew Carey doing well as host of TPIR.

Bob Barker might be the legend but Carey really put some new energy into the old stable.

No, in Nielsen terms, Price is Right 1 and 2 refer to the half-hours. It’s been like that for decades, dating back to the time when an hour-long game show was completely bizarre.

I was under the impression that TPIR2 is the 11:30 – 12:00 (or second half hour) of the show, while TPIR1 is the first half.
