from next week’s episode of Sons of Anarchy

Just kidding about the ouch thing, and being a deliberately contrary after last week’s flurry of  media stories about Sons of Anarchy beating Jay Leno (and The Forgotten),  Last night SOA tied with Jay with a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating, and both shows were beaten out by The Forgotten and its 2.0 adults 18-49 rating.

I suppose if I were a true diehard fanboy I’d be miffed that last night’s episode, which was excellent, fared worse than last week.  But SOA will still be FX’s best show, will still be one of the top cable performers for the week across all demos and will still be back for a third season.   Plus its numbers are still like 3X what Damages were last season and Damages is coming back.

By this time next year, we will be covering ratings for season 3 of Sons of Anarchy, and  The Forgotten will be, well, you know…
