Im a male, and in his 20′s, and very straight – and I am aa huge fan. It is hilarious. It is my favorite thing to watch on TV all week, actually. My favorite was before HOUSE, now it is GLEE.

Look for this baby to not only be pulling in the viewers (once you do start to watch, your really hooked. It’s weird), but it will also be winning emmy’s, It will be best new show, and best comedy next year I bet. Well, actually, for the first time in years look fr a real contest in BEST COMEDY. 30 Rock, Modern Family, Glee…. but out of all of those, I would say Glee is likely to win. WIll be a fun show this year for once..

Cant wait.

I forgotto say this but they messed up Kanye West’s Gold Digger. Why couldn’t Kanye interrupt those kids and said “I’m really happy for you, but I’mma let you finish, but my version of Gold Digger was the best of all time!”?

FOX is not likely making much money off the downloads, but the cross promotion is invaluable. This show is in a risky genre for TV but with the success of High School Musical, its clear there is an audience out there. FOX has found a way to tap that interest and the show is building in key demos. Watch for musicals on other nets…
Personally I was skeptical, but in watching the show it is way funnier and far more wicked-clever than HSM. It’s a guilty pleasure to watch.

I have to wonder how the soundtrack album will sell, expecially on iTunes. I would expect fans of the songs would have bought them already on iTunes.

True. But they’re about to start selling a cd not to mention a concert tour with the cast– Fox definitely isn’t going to be making just 9 cents a pop on that…

Love the show. Disappointed that the mash-ups It’s My Life/Confessions and Walking on Sunshine/Halo aren’t on there.

I would think we’re going to see an interesting cross-over of Glee into American Idol. You just know that the Glee cast will perform on one of the results shows. Fox is trying to brand themselves as a hot music destination for the younger demographic. So far – it seems to be working.

LOL Fox only makes approximately 9 cents per download – so 9 cents x 2 million downloads = $180,000

The rights to all these songs probably cost that much, so I highly doubt Fox is making any profits off this.

Fabulous news. I love Glee, and they really have done a spectacular job with the music.

Vamp Mom, I know that a full-length version of “Taking Chances” was recorded, even though only a brief segment of it aired in one of the episodes, but I think some of the songs were not recorded as full-length tracks. Maybe “The Thong Song” was only a partial recording, so they didn’t want to release it?
