Vampire Diaries Encore Delivers Time Period’s Best Delivery in 7 Weeks
October 29, 2009 (Burbank, CA) – The CW’s hit reality series AMERICA’S Next Top Model picked up steam last night, and delivered its highest rated episode of the season among adults 18-34 (1.9/6), adults 18-49 (1.6/4), women 18-49 (2.4/7-tie) and total viewers (3.5mil), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009.
AMERICA’S Next Top Model ranked second at 8 o’clock with women 18-34 (2.7/8) and adults 18-34, behind only FOX.
Compared to a week ago, Top Model improved 12% in adults 18-34, 4% in women 18-34, 14% in adults 18-49, 9% in women 18-49 and 17% in total viewers.
An encore of freshman hit THE Vampire Diaries at 9:00p.m. delivered The CW’s best performance in the time period in 7 weeks (since 9/9/09, the second half of Top Model’s two-hour season premiere).
I can’t believe people are STILL watching Top Model. I gave up on the show about the 7th or 8th cycle. Maybe its me, but the so called top models just keep getting, uh…how do I put this….well, lets say it looks like the shows are finding the models from piles of former Jerry Springer guests.
The only way I watch the show is because I record it!!! I do love the challenges and the photo shoot.

This season has been significantly better than the previous few. Tyra isn’t as ridiculous anymore.
I think you mean future jerry springer guests. But I enjoy the concepts and themes for photos they come up with.

This show = everything that’s wrong with the universe. How can you keep watching a show that considers disgustingly skinny and horribly ugly women model material? Only gay men (cough fashion designers cough) can find these women attractive.
Max Sleven..if you havent noticed these girls are PETITE MODELS. That is huge for this show to actually take a chance on those girls..and they are beautiful girls. Not to mention, Whitney, a PLUS SIZE MODEL has won previous season.
There has been a lot of bad press about this episode. The models were put in makeup to make them look like other races. Some have even called it racist.
I wonder if next week’s episode will see a small ratings spike due to the press?
