None the less, Lipton is fun to watch. I have his interviews with Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie on my hard drive. The one with Angie was fun. She holds nothing back. The bit about both the Simpsons and SNL “assassinating” him was funny.

Musicians in rock bands are mostly actors, anyway, so it’s not totally unreasonable. He could do a useful interview with Shirley Manson who acted for the first time on TSCC; it would be useful to aspiring actors to get the experiences of someone who is tossed in the deep end without any training.

Michael Zaslow would have made a wonderful and fascinating interview due to his long and varied career in television that was cut short, not by a phaser beam, but by ALS.

It would appear to me that they are now ratings whores instead of a legitimate “actors” show. Go ahead and bring on all the reality show “actos” while you are at it.

Jon Bon Jovi is the NBC-Uni artist in residence, maybe that has something to do with this, but I’m still not buying.

Sheesh, when does David Leisure get his ITAS episode. Or Courtney Thorne-Smith, Andrew Shue, the first red shirt guy from the original Star Trek … or Evan “Joe Millionaire” Mariott?

LOL! “Studio” jumped when they had “The Simpsons” on to discuss their “craft”. Bon Jovi has even less acting merit than the cartoon.
If they’re going to go this route, might as well have Megan Fox as a guest and other upstart young actors. Personally, I’d love to see veteran character actors guesting but that probably wouldn’t translate into large audience numbers.

The key word is “was.” Inside the Actors Studio is the last remnant to the old Bravo. No musicians who act were available?
