I’m surprised at people who find this season more boring than previous ones. Did you really find the long arc of Peggy and the priest in season 2 that riveting? This season was by far more involving to me, there was finally some real emotion going on and it no longer seemed like some sort of ph.d thesis on the era, it came alive.

But then to me Don is the primary story, and the others at work are peripheral characters. So not being in the office, and focusing at times on his home life is perfectly fine.

Ok I just finished watching the Season finale of Mad Men and it was one of the best of this season. About time as we were starting to give up on it.

Hope next year they actually get back to dealing more with the advertising part of it and bring back in lots of the characters that had hardly any story lines this year.

Lots of story arcs just seem to start and then disappear for a few episodes and then just come back in passing.

At least the finally picked up the pace which I personally felt was desperately needed for the 3rd season.

And Grr-arrgh, I too am a huge Damages Fan as well as Breaking Bad and I think I like Sons of Anarchy more than damages and I don’t know if I would say better than breaking bad but Sons of Anarchy seems to move the story along at a much better pace than the other shows.

I’m honestly suprised it didn’t do a lot better. It seems like everybody was talking about it today, and it should at least have hit a series high.

The season finale was very good, even if the season as a while was barely plodding along. It’s artistic, yes, but that’s very boring to watch if nothing happens. And for the majority of this season, nothing did.

I like the comedy elements, however.

I need to catch up on my Mad Men. i stopped halfway through this season. Also, I have to check this Sons of Anarchy out. You guys keep raving about it. I don’t think it’ll top FX’s Damages, but if it’s close enough then it’ll do.

Base from the critic reviews, I guess Mad Men is on its way again for its 3rd Emmy next year. I’m not a fan of the show though, I like Breaking Bad more.

I found season 3 of madman a bit of a disappointment. I still have not watched the season finale yet.

I have to agree on the Sons of Anarchy as I am just now working my way through the first season. I love how the stories just keep moving quickly. Both my better half and I are getting into it.

Great original show! (Plus I was always into bikes when I was younger)

God, what an awesome way to end the season. Normally such a dramatic shift in the structure of a show/place of business within a show frightens me (I’m a die hard fan of The Office so I know what that’s like) but it was handled really well and I’m interested to see where the show goes next year. Not enough accolades. I’m sure we will get those who say it’s slow moving and boring blah blah blah. I don’t think those people are watching the same show I am. It’s a brilliant character show that mixes in history to tell a story of a group of people who are victims of their times and one central figure who is the most complex character in the history of TV. Enough accolades? never

Mad Men did very well, I think it’s its second highest ratings so it’s unsurprising that AMC have renewed it, will be interesting if Breaking Bad and Rubicon achieve similar ratings.

Will be interesting how The Prisoner does next week over three nights, I’m thinking 4-5m given how Syfy miniseries have acheived over 6m.
