I like the proactive nature of this tweet which potentially diffuses the countless "Will Syfy pick up Dollhouse?" that will ensue in the coming weeks and months. OK, of course there will still be countless discussion about the possibility anyway, but it's nice to see Syfy attempt to get out in front of it:
Looks like Fox finally canceled Dollhouse. (No, I don't think we'll pick it up.)
Next stop, DirecTV?

no, it’s not coming back, 0.8 is similar to Melrose Place, where else?
Methinks Syfy is a bit tired of being caught in the “it’s a sci-fi show so Syfy should give it a second life” dramas of late. Can’t blame them for the proactive response (and can’t blame the fans for trying). Maybe this will become a trend…
Headline: Show ABCXYZ canceled by NBC; Syfy, CBS, ABC, Lifetime, Spike, CMT, USA decline saving it; Motives of TNT, TBS, Fox, unclear at this time.
Fans wouldn’t pick up and take a bite of a turd sandwich, they really shouldn’t expect SyFy to either.
They’re just saying what they’re saying because they haven’t received all the dolls’ heads I’m getting ready to send them right now! I am thinking of having a plane drop a huge package of dolls’ heads on their headquarters!
The show is NOT dead yet! If ever you’ve believed in something, now is the time to believe in Dollhouse! Even better, believe in Joss! The show will live again!!!!!!!
Dollhouse forever!!
Dolls’ heads?
Isn’t that a little creepy to anyone else? I hope that isn’t the campaign mail-ins.
It’s very creepy, and exactly why I support this idea. You’d have to be a crazy person NOT to comply when confronted with thousands of creepy severed doll heads! JBF is clearly onto something with this.
Wow they were quick to that response. The question wasnt even brought up yet.
Too funny. I guess there’s no ‘Sanctuary’ for Dollhouse on SyFy.
The poor Syfy guy (the Twitter handle was craigatscifi before the rebranding) got several thousand messages after T:SCC was canceled, I don’t blame him for pre-empting this.
I suspect Dollhouse will get shown on Syfy in the long run though, just as Dushku’s previous “work” whose name I forgot but it involved something about talking to dead people, appears regularly, as do numerous other canceled shows. It’s just Syfy will not commission new episodes. T:SCC will go the same way, as will Fringe. There’s not enough episodes for normal syndication, but there are enough for the kind of day long marathons Syfy likes doing.
On the other hand, considering how well the reruns of the old V mini series and series did for Syfy ratings wise, maybe they should consider picking up more ‘old’ shows and re airing them; the might get better ratings than with their own original scripted programming.
If it does continue, this show needs to go where it should have been in the first place: one of the pay channels like HBO or Showtime. That way they could truly explore the more adult nature of its premise.
ok sify we don’t want you to pick up our show.. no one ever asked you..
Okay…it seems Joss’ biggest fan is indeed his biggest fan, but thousands of doll heads?
