Fox Sports is "on a run" as of late. The Favre story with the NFL, the top market Yankees and their love and hate for them plus the best record in baseball against the then defending champion Phillies (another huge market), and CBS just cannot make a dent this year with the pre-game shows. I think the tiffany network needs to promote The NFL Today a little more in the prime time juggernauts they have right now. CBS is aided with the SEC College Football games doing well with the numbers one and two teams readily availble for them to air. But FOX is doing well which might help propel them some into Idol next year.

The BCS probably will slow down their momentum pending on the bowl matchups and the championship game on ABC. Another reason is how horrible FOX is with the BCS coverage. Heck, NBC would do better with the BCS than FOX. I am sure they will take whatever BCS numbers and go with it since next year the BCS all goes to ESPN.

I am a little surprised FOX don't have any other rights to something. But the Olympic rights are coming up in a year or two and they might be waiting for that. As well as ESPN/ABC and CBS (unless their prime time is still as strong as it is now). NBC will have it's work cut out for them.
