'Saturday Night Live' MATCHES ITS TOP RATING THIS SEASON IN 18-49 AND HITS A NEW SEASON HIGH IN TOTAL VIEWERS
WITH HOST AND MUSICAL GUEST TAYLOR SWIFT, ‘SNL’ SCORES THE NIGHT’S #1 RESULTS IN 18-49 AND TOTAL VIEWERS, TOPPING ALL PRIMETIME PROGRAMS ON ALL MAJOR NETWORKS
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – November 12, 2009 – The November 7 telecast of "Saturday Night Live" has matched the show's best adult 18-49 rating of the season thus far and set a new total-viewer high for the season to date, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.
On November 7, "Saturday Night Live," featuring Taylor Swift as host and musical guest, averaged a 2.8 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49 and 6.8 million viewers overall. The 2.8 rating matches the show's season high previously achieved with the October 3 edition, hosted by Ryan Reynolds and featuring musical guest Lady Gaga.
The November 7 "Saturday Night Live" delivered the #1 results of the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers, topping all primetime telecasts on all the major networks. In fact, in adults 18-49, "SNL" outscored every Saturday non-sports primetime telecast on every major network in nearly three years (since November 25, 2006).
Taylor Swift is a ratings beast!
Its interesting how these networks claim they have trouble programming on Saturdays yet SNL gets better ratings in a late night spot gets better ratings than half of the shows on all of prime time television.

Taylor Swift was surprisingly good on SNL.
Her Shakira was funny, but the best part was when she made fun of Kate Goselyn.
Eh. Miss Swift’s SNL was so-so, in comparison to Ryan Reynolds’ SNL from a month ago.
How did Wanda Sykes do in viewers & 18-49 in comparison? Although it didn’t beat SNL, FOX still seems to be crowing with positive news for Wanda from last week.
Wanda was completely torched relative to SNL. A 0.9/3 adults 18-49 rating/share. That’s 50% better than Spike Ferensten;s 0.6/2, but not even as high as Mad TV last year (1.1/4)
People really like the young lady (taylor). i dont even listen to country music and i adore her.
Taylor Swift is beyond overrated. Shes just populer cause shes a cute girl with a decent voice. So what. BTW, her performance on SNL was pretty lousy. Well both her and the overall show. With the exception of Firelight which in reality, any actress could have played her role.
Now Gerade Butlers SNL episode was Amazing, Nuff said.
Overrated!? Really? She’s 19, writes her own songs and had the highest selling album last year. Yep, you’re totally right – overrated.
